As many of you may know, on Sunday I like to post my favourite TV quotes of the week. This week I’ve only found two worthy of making the cut. Generally I like to have three, so if anyone has a great quote of the week from a show that they remember, feel free to comment below or email me at info@thetvaddict.com

More OFFICE Hilarity
I just wanted to point out a great link that ‘OfficeFanatic’ was nice enough to send me.
http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/video/sub_122.shtml
In honour of April Fools Day (tomorrow) NBC’s THE OFFICE has made available some great ‘More You Know’ Video Clips with our favourite OFFICE characters espousing little perls of wisdom (wow, my vocabulary is on fire today!). This short clips are really cute and definitely worth wasting a little work time on a beautiful Friday afternoon.
Ryan knows how to Smile (and more…)
I never thought I’d be saying this again, but I really enjoyed THE OC last night! After a month off the wagon, I’m back on. Last night’s installment, for the first time in recent memory, actually entertained me (hmmm, entertainment, something the OC has forgotten about for about two seasons). Summer and Marissa fighting was a dynamic we’ve never seen on the show and a welcome change. Ryan was genuinely happy, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen, and Kirsten talking about/to Seth at her AA meeting actually had me getting a bit teary-eyed (I didn’t go as far as cry though, I’m not that much of a blubbering emotional mess).
THE OFFICE was another great episode, with Michael attempting to keep the birthday attention on him, while the rest of the office was off worrying about Kevin’s possible battle with skin cancer. How adorable were Jim and Pam again? I’m so curious how they’re going to break off the wedding so TV’s second cutest couple can be together (the first cutest couple being Hannah and Bright on Everwood)
I’ll end off my Thursday rant with my perennial dissappointment… SMALLVILLE. Let me get this straight, a month ago, Clark essentially chooses his girlfriend Lana, over his father – subsequently killing his Dad. Flash forward a month later, Clark yet again breaks it off with Lana. Was this really worth Papa Kent’s death? I think not. I’ve sad from the moment I saw this episode, that a much bolder choice would have been for the writers to kill of Lana, with Lex being responsible – thus setting up a serious confrontational dynamic between Lex and Cark. But hey, I’m just a tvaddicted blogger, not the writers of one of TV’s most uneven and tedious shows.
Attn: Love Monkey Fans
Well, the show hasn’t found a new home on the CW, but LOVE MONKEY fans will get to see the eight unaired episodes on VH1
LOS ANGELES (AP) – The short-lived CBS series “Love Monkey” has found new life on VH1. At least temporarily.
The cable channel will air all eight hourlong episodes of the show beginning next month, a network spokeswoman said Wednesday.
No new episodes have been ordered.
While I’m happy for fans of the show, I never really had time to watch LOVE MONKEY. But anything with 90210’s Jason Preistley and Ed’s Tom Cavanagh can’t be bad!
The Mind Games Continue…
Why won’t the show give us a break? The entire hour, I’m literally on the edge of my seat, heart pounding with anticipation, digesting every little nugget of information…. the lockdown, the new map, Locke’s legs (that must hurt), the truth about Henry Gale… but still, no payoff! What have we learned, absolutely nothing! Just more questions??? Sure the episode was fantastic, and we do learn that Locke had pretty much the worst father ever, but why can’t the writers throw us a bone? Some sort of plausible explanation for what is with this mysterious island. Obviously I’m hooked and will continue to watch till the bitter end – but in recent memory I can’t recall a show that frustrates me so much!
Smallville Returns
Smallville returns tonight, after being off the air since February. In tonight’s installment, according to the WB website:
Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) discovers that Professor Fine, aka Brainiac (guest star James Marsters) is in Honduras and sets out to confront him. Clark (Tom Welling) meets a beautiful seductress named Simone (Nichole Hiltz) who uses a magical charm to make people succumb to her every wish. An enchanted Clark reveals his powers to Simone, who seizes the opportunity and demands that Clark kill Lex.
Smallville is one of those shows that I constantly watch, yet often find myself regretting it aftwards (much like the OC lately). The show has the potential to be phenomenal, but more often then not failing to meet expectations. Sadly, I’ll be tuning in tonight hoping things turn out for the best.
It will be yet another crazy night of TV, as I try to squeeze in Smallville, a new episode of The Office, Will & Grace, The OC (for a few minutes until I want to throw something at my TV), at the same time manage to catch up on PVR’d episodes of 24 and Prison Break. No doubt I’ll have to save some things for Saturday Morning Grilled Cheese Felicity Fest, but I’ll keep you posted 🙂
God Bless TIVO
Okay, I know I pretend I have a TIVO… but the truth is, I have a Rogers PVR – we don’t have TIVO in Canada! That said, God Bless my PVR. Tonight, once again is TV madness.
Lost (Please something happen tonight!)
Veronica Mars (Who’s behind the bus crash?)
One Tree Hill (Is Keith really dead, damn you DAN SCOTT)
The Bedford Diaries (Is the controversy warranted?)
American Idol (I actually don’t care about AI, but I know everyone loves it!)
All that and I’m not even going to be home tonight. Again, I [heart] my PVR. Hope everyone has a great night of TV 🙂
Rob Thomas Rocks!
I’d just like to give a shout out to the creator of VERONICA MARS, Rob Thomas. I think his dedication to the fans is simply awesome (even though I have yet to be included, no, I’m not at all bitter). But seriously, last night, Rob Thomas and VM star Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls) hosted an exclusive video web chat with lucky media members and fellow TV bloggers. They answered questions and talked about the show. Since I wasn’t included (no seriously, I’m not crying all over my keyboard) I thought I’d take the high road and point you to dedicated sites that were lucky enough to be included (who did they sleep with?).
But first, I just wanted to throw in my two cents on something mentioned in last night’s chat. Rob Thomas wants fan feedback on a Season 3 possibility (there will most likely be a season 3, excellent!). The writers are wondering if instead of one large season long mystery (as there is now), should there be 3 smaller mysteries lasting 7 episodes each? I think splitting up the season into three mysteries would be an excellent idea. While I enjoyed last season’s ‘Who Killed Lilly’ plot, I find that this season’s ‘Bus Crash’ mystery has been a bit hard to follow, especially when many episodes have had nothing to do with the crash. More importantly, I believe smaller mysteries will allow for better access for the Veronica Mars newbie, who has no idea what’s going on.

Prison Break Renewed
File this under ‘news that doesn’t suprise anyone.’ FOX is thrilled with Prison Break’s recent ratings and has renewed the series for a second season. The only question remains is what is going to happen in season 2? Rumours are floating around that our intrepit gang will be on the run for the season. I guess we’ll have to stay tuned.
Name the Baby!
Scrubs has started a great new contest!
Sacred Heart’s feistiest couple is having a baby… but they need YOUR help to give their bundle of joy a name.
The person who submits the winning name will have a Scrubs character named after him or her in a future episode.
Click here to enter the contest! My vote goes for naming the baby theTVaddict!
