Why not spread the wealth. I guess we won't know if they were to quick to pull INVASION until the season starts. They've been a non-player on the key night for years, and Grey's audience WILL follow it (although probably to DVR for many). When you have a product that can put a dent in the CSI monster, you use it. On the other hand: 15 new shows this season for ABC (ten now, five mid-season)?? That's pathetic, and the honchos will be LONGING for the loyal "Invasion" viewers once they see the ho-hum neglect their new lineup produces. People are too busy and already have too many TV "commitments" to even begin to get involved with so many new series. I was surprised ABC had the guts to move Grey’s to Thursday….but it could turn out to be a brilliant move. Why does TV networks have to do this to me every year! I can watch two shows a night AND my roommate insists on continuing to watch The OC. So hopefully they put that in a new slot! I am not giving up Grey's and WILL NOT not watch Studo 60. I was so excited for upfronts, with this and the everwood news, I don't even want to know what will happen next. I hope the writers keep it awesome enough for fans to tune in, and that they don't decide to get all "desperate housewives" by promising big things and letting the show turn into a mockery of the show it's trying to be... while i'm on the subject - i don't hate desperate housewives, but i am holding firmly to the belief that it is NOT a comedy and should be entered into the drama categories for awards...one funny moment per 60 minute show does not a comedy make!
