Eonline’s Kristin Rocks!

What an exciting week for theTVaddict! First a shout out from Eonline’s Korbi (Thanks Korbi, you Rock!), and now the Queen of Scoop Kristin (of Eonline’s Watch with Kristin) gives theTVaddict a shout out. Kristin writes:

“Save Everwood” and “Save Marissa” have not only overtaken my email inbox the past few weeks (I’ve received more than a million emails from fans in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and South America!), you’ve also created Save Marissa Cooper and Save Everwood petitions, Everwood Online and Savin’ Coop Websites, T-shirts and, in the case of Everwood, even raised money to put a Ferris wheel outside CW president Dawn Ostroff’s office–just as Amy did for Ephram in the season finale.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: You guys rock. And you give new meaning to being a TV fan.

So cool of Kristin to dedicate this weeks column to the incredible fans of EVERWOOD who have been so passionate about the show we all love. For more info on how you can SAVE EVERWOOD, click this link. Also, if you’d like to purchase some amazing EVERWOOD swag, visit theTVaddict Swag Shop. All profits from the Everwood Swag will be donated directly to the SAVE EVERWOOD campaign.

I should also mention that Kristin has a fantastic Q&A with EVERWOOD Creator Greg Berlanti. Click here to find out his feelings about everything EVERWOOD.

  • Daniel, you neglected to include the rest of that article. Here, let me do it for you. 😛

“Not to pour water on anyone’s hopes, but I think, logistically, at this point, it is not possible [to bring Everwood back]. Contracts have lapsed. And all the creative entities behind the show have disbanded and gone on to other things, and we’re all in other contracts elsewhere. So, unfortunately, it is an impossibility.”

    STRAIGHT FROM THE CREATORS MOUTH.

Stop wasting money on something so frivolous. Be happy with what you got. Donate to something that matters.

It’s not that I’m against the show, I’m not. I’ve never seen it and don’t care about it, however to see people donating money and effort to something as silly as bringing a TV show back when there are hundreds of thousands of better places the money can go to? That upsets me. Actually, it infuriates me.

I felt the same way about Angel when the WB canceled that. I was grateful for the 5 years that the show got and incredibly annoyed by all the ungrateful people out there who had the nerve to protest over a TV show being cancelled. Is this what we have become? This may be somewhat sacreligous on a TV Addict’s webpage, but does one little hour 22 weeks a year in front of the boob-tube really inspire protests instead of things like genocide, poverty or war?

I’m just as angry as those stupid O.C. nitwits. THE ACTRESS WANTED TO BE LET OFF THE SHOW. Starting protests to get Mischa Barton back on O.C. is about as likely as protesting to get Shannen Dohrety back on Charmed or 90210.

Just think about your actions in a larger context. You’ve lost your beloved Everwood, a lot of people in the Gulf states lost their houses. Which makes more sense, a pointless ferris wheel or donating to Habitat for Humanity?

There, I’m done with this topic.

  • Tim,

I think you’re still bitter about ANGEL 🙂

Everwood is the first show that I’ve actually cared enough to get behind and support, in terms of a Save our Show campaign. While in the grand scheme of things, a TV show isn’t the most important thing in the world, neither is $5,000. 5 grand isn’t going to rebuild a house or cure Aids, but it allows the FANS to be heard. It gives fans an opportunity to feel like they have a voice, feel like they’re part of the processs. Will Everwood be saved, most likely not. But we may have succeeded in getting the series released on DVD – which I think is no small feat.

Do I agree with every Fan campaign – No. But I’m happy to help out fans everywhere. Is Marissa going to come back – most definitely not. But why not let some passionate Marissa Fans enjoy their moment.

    It’s all in good fun.

WHAT THE FERRIS WHEEL & VARIETY AD CAMPAIGN IS ABOUT

Just thought I’d bring this to all Everwoodians’ attention.

This campaign is not ONLY to get Everwood back. It is also to draw attention to Everwood’s large and loyal fan base. This will help get the rest of the Seasons of Everwood out on DVD. But most importantly, it will show the Cast, Crew, and Creative Team how much the show has meant to all of us fans. This will honor and demonstrate our gratitude toward what a quality show Everwood is. Not to mention making an historic ground-breaking gesture of pulling off such a campaign.

Do you want a say in what television shows are made available to you? Do you want to stand strong for quality programming? Well then that is what this campaign is about.

Fight for Everwood and fight for the Extraordinary!!!

Right you are, Wil!!!!!! It seems like all the good shows get cancelled, so we need to have a voice. I say put up the ferris wheel and if it has any sort of an impact that is great. And ,yes Tim there is disaster all around us that we could donate to, but for this time we are donating to something that brings us joy………if it makes you feel any better just think of it as a headstone!!!! Everything and everyone deserve a memorable farewell.
