Introducing TVaddictWeekly

To quote BLOSSOM’S Joey (sorry, Joseph) Lawrence, “WHOA!” What an unexpected surprise I got today when I opened up my mailbox and found the very first issue of TVaddictWeekly! In case you’re wondering, TVaddictWeekly is the latest and greatest magazine all about Television. This week’s issue features an exclusive interview with David Sutcliffe, as he talks about what it takes to be ‘Television’s Best Dad’, as well as an insightful commentary on ‘The Decline of LOST’ and to top it all off, an interview with CW execs, as they apologize for cancelling EVERWOOD.

TVaddictWeekly cannot be found on newstands or online. It’s the fictional genius of theTVaddict.com and intended to really annoy Luke and Lorelai Shippers! Take THAT Television Without Pity Forums (you know who you are!).

If you have any ideas for future TVaddictWeekly cover stories, theTVaddict would love to hear from you. Please post below or email info@thetvaddict.com

What the frak is a soure…

  • starbase135

Regarding Everwood…at this very moment I am watching the 14th episode of the 3rd season and I have to admit that I almost forgot how good this show was…so they had better regret it.

  • babygirrr

LOL. that was fantastic. Thanks for that little lift this afternoon! I for one would love to see Chris on a cover (fake or real).. Plus, you know the CW is kicking themselves in the arse for not renewing Everwood now!

  • Common Sense

Shhhh…you’ll disturb Sam with that Everwood talk (hee hee). But it’s got to be the most mind-boggling screwed-up programming decision in recent memory. Hey CW, here’s a suggestion: get a viewer FOCUS GROUP to tell you what we really WANT before you try to force-feed us a load of crap in the future. Your credibility is still circling the drain after your stubborn, boneheaded cancellation of your BEST family-drama asset.

  • Sam

Common Sense is right guys, my tolerance for such talk is at an all time low, lol. But seriously, I agree, FOX and CW really need to start using focus groups because the shows they have are crap and get cancelled so fast it’s any wonder they are ever made.

Nice idea for this weekly mag tvaddict. It’s getting to the point where I almost come here more than zap2it and thefutoncritic. Keep up the excellent work!

  • Dear Sam, Thanks for the kind words. Completely makes my day 🙂 Keep visiting and I’ll keep working!

  • I’ve actually stopped going to zap2it and futoncritic regularly now. But yes, can we all laugh at the dismal ratings for 7th Heaven and Runaway on The CW now? but WHERES THOSE EVERWOOD DVD’S??? (and how did you get Season 3 to watch? ME WANT!). by the way. why does the news that David Sutcliffe, Tom Cavanaugh and Men In Trees James Tupper being (CDN)basketball buddies excite me somehow?

  • tcgc

Just curious…did you get David Sutciffe’s permission to use his image?

  • You crack me up.

  • Sam

Well tcgc tvaddict DID have that interview with David a while back. They’re probably the best of buds now, lol.

  • tcgc

Actually Sam, I’m the one friends with David Sutcliffe, the tv addict just interviewed him.

  • Sam

I see. So making nice with celebs can be done after all, lol.

Curious, do you know him from something job related or from way back or something?

  • tcgc

job related. I worked on a movie called Cake and we’ve been friends since then.

  • Sam

Wow that’s really interesting. I’ve heard of the movie but never seen it but it has a lot of great actors in it according to imdb (including good ol Christopher, lol) so I think I might check it out.

  • Sabrina

Love the cover page. The so-called fans at TWOP have their heads so far up Luke’s ass, it’s no wonder they can’t appreciate the awesome job that David Rosenthal is doing with Gilmore Girls. It’s wonderful to see Lorelai actually happy for a change, with a guy who’s living in the 21st century.

  • Maggie

I love you! (In regards to both the Everwood and Christopher dig)

  • Maggie

Marry me! (In regards to both the Everwood and Christopher love)

  • tcgc

    don’t bother

  • Babette

    You’re an ass.

  • Isabella

How exactly has Christopher made up for lost time? All he ever wanted to do was use his daughters to get in Lorelai’s pants. After they serve his purpose they get shipped back to Siberia and never-land to wait for his bidding.

  • tcgc

the don’t bother was referring to seeing Cake, not marrying you.

  • i’ve been looking for those everwood dvds ‘cos we’re still in season two here in the philippines;and i’ve missed a number of episodes so i’m so not caught up. help get the DVDs out!!!

  • Caf

Christopher as father of the year??? I must say, I thought tvaddict had more sense than that. Lol.

You’re joking, right? What next? Do you plan to give Lorelai an award for Rational and Carefully Thought-out Decision-Making?

The one I feel most sorry for is Rory. And to the poster above who thinks Lorelai is finally happy – just wait a few months. Christopher has screwed up her life repeatedly for 22 years. I somehow don’t think he’s going to stop now.

Talk to you again in February. 😉

  • Mechelle

Haha! Chris the best dad? Sorry. But nope.

Still, David S looks hot. But Chris – the best dad? Ha! Ha! Ha!

What next? Will Luke win the “happiest dude” award? Ha! 🙂

  • Kara

Thanks so much for giving Chris a little respect for doing the best he can, now, by his daughter. Just because he inherited his money doesn’t mean trying to do the right thing doesn’t count. I think ‘Most Improved Dad of the Year’ might also apply.

this is a joke, i’m laughing sooo hard right now. LOL
he’s the worst father in a history of TV, he’s constantly using rory to get to lorelai, and now he’s a father of a year because he paid for yale and is s*** lorelai AGAIN.
what about luke??? he’s not good with april? luke is better father to rory than chris will ever be.

  • Zut

    what a pathetic joke

Father of the Year, for doing what?

    – sleeps with a friend while his daughter is in the next room
    – paying for a Nanny
    – has dinner with older daughter and talks on the phone with her every once in a while
    – then after he starts dating her mom, he never sees said daughter unless daughters mom is there
    – paid for Yale with money he inherited and had leftover after he saved money for his younger daughter and bought what he wanted
    – gets rid of his 4 yr old for the night so he can bring a date home
    – wants to send his younger daughter to live with her mother for 2 months (who she hasn’t seen in over two years) with the 25 yr old Nanny
    – his younger daughter is spending two months with her mother and he’s scott-free to boink his girlfriend when ever he wants with out having to take care of a 4 yr old (not like he ever did before….)

making up for lost time? everything he has done for ‘Rory’ or ‘Gigi’ is to get closer to Lorelai and get into her pants…..

  • Lolabelle

    Wow. You ARE an ass.

Have you nothing better to do than to tick off already pissed off LL fans? Now, I’m sure DS is a GREAT guy, but PLEASE do not rub his character in our faces. Have your fun now, but come Febuary, oh, we’ll see who has the last laugh.

    *evil laugh*

  • CJ

“David Sutcliffe, as he talks about what it takes to be ‘Television’s Best Dad’”

Just do the opposite of what Chris does, and you’ll be Television’s Best Dad!!

Dude, L/L shippers win. Period. This is more funny and ironic than annoying, because we know who’s gonna come out on top. I’ll give you a hint: It ain’t Chris.

  • Annie

Dude, I used to come here and read your blog and thought some of what you had to say was interesting and enjoyable. But this is the last straw. To post something to purposely tick off loyal fans of a previously great show who are already depressed and miserable is just mean and wrong. Been nice knowing you, I’m outta here.
