A while back theTVaddict.com used to have this nifty little feature called “TV Quotes of the Week”. Lately I’ve gotten quite a few requests to bring it back — so here it goes. Post your favourite quotes of the week in the comments below and come back on Sunday to see if your quote was picked! Click here for a past example.

THE BLACK DONNELLYS: Surprisingly Good
Having recently read Maureen Ryan’s less than glowing review of THE BLACK DONNELLYS my expectations going into NBC’s latest stab at SOPRANOS success couldn’t have been any lower.
Yet as the episode ended (with what’s become the standard, yet massively overused music montage — thank you OC!), I found myself surprisingly compelled to tune into next week’s episode. Sure the show is full of Irish clichés (we get it, the Irish like to drink and brawl) and I don’t know how seriously I can take a group of mobsters that actually come up with the nickname ‘Joey Ice Cream’, but overall I found the story interesting — and more importantly — the four brothers incredibly likable.
Special mention goes out to youngest brother Tommy Donnelly (Jonathan Tucker). Who delivers a fantastic performance as the one brother who has the brains and talent to make a life for himself, if only he could leave his knuckle-head brothers behind. Of course this being television, and the show revolving around four brothers (not three), Tommy isn’t going anywhere. Reiterated by Joey Ice Cream’s final narration of the episode “… and whether he realized it or not… Tommy had just taken over the neighborhood, and it was up to him to protect it.” Well, duh! (Note to writers: give the audience a little credit it. We don’t need the narrator to spoon feed us everything!)
SCRUBS: A Clip Show, Seriously?
A Memo to SCRUBS creator and show-runner Bill Lawrence,
There’s no denying the fact that for nearly six seasons you’ve provided viewers with countless episodes filled with laughter, emotion and more laughter. As long as we live, we’ll never forget the brilliance and originality of Dr. Acula, floating head doctor, Turk getting jiggy with it, Ted, The Janitor, Kelso’s ‘son issues’, The Todd and more moments too numerous to mention. That said, I never thought I’d see the day when SCRUBS would sink to the level of HOME IMPROVEMENT and employ the dreaded classic sitcom clip show.
A clip show!? Seriously, a frakkin’ CLIP SHOW! Why Bill Why? Did your brilliant musical episode really take that much out of the cast and writing staff?
Okay, perhaps I’m a tad melodramatic (as The Fray’s HOW TO SAVE A LIFE plays in my head). After-all, even with a clip show, you still managed to give us two hilarious moments (Turk—ey bacon, and J.D. joke comment about The Fray). For now, I’m going to let your generic sitcom screw-up slide. Just promise me it won’t happen again. You do not want to risk the wrath of an angry TV Addict — or an even angrier Janitor who’ve I’ve paid to exact my revenge.
Keep up the great work,

February Sweeps Withdrawl
For five weeks we’ve enjoyed a jam-packed Thursday night of television. But today is March 1 — and the party — or February Sweeps to be more specific, is officially over. That said, thanks to NBC’s ‘COMEDY NIGHT DONE RIGHT’ we’ve still got half a night of new comedy to look forward to (and one TV addict who’s already been brainwashed by NBC’s new marketing campaign).
Starting at 9PM with SCRUBS, the staff remembers past events while helping a patient regain his memory. Hmmm.. Would creator Bill Lawrence really sink so low as to give us a clip show? Tune in tonight find out. Following SCRUBS is the funniest new comedy this season — 30 ROCK starring the brilliant Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. On tonight’s episode, Jack gets a hip-hop producer to endorse his family’s line of wines. No doubt hilarity will ensue.
For a guaranteed laugh, tune into SCRUBS and 30 ROCK tonight. Afterall, NBC does promise ‘Comedy Night Done Right’ — and if there’s one thing a television network would never do, is hype up a show’s laugh-factor to attract viewers. But seriously, trust theTVaddict.com with this one (have I ever steered you wrong?). Gives SCRUBS and 30 ROCK a chance and you’ll most definitely laugh out loud, or at the very least crack a smile. If you don’t, I’ve got some shocking news for you — you may be a cylon.
