I just read this article - http://www.thenewsroom.com/details/299931/Entertainment?c_id=kc about the huge number of tv viewers who are abandoning their once favorite medium. I have to say, the number of shows that I am looking forward to this year is negligible...especially from the networks!

I know that writing for television is extremely difficult, that's what makes great shows so great! But, come on, is it too much to ask for a little creativity instead of just another dumbed down courtroom/familial/workplace drama? And cavemen?!? Really?!?

If that "Cavemen" series doesn't work out, maybe the Cavemen can take over for the ABC programming chiefs. It seems like someone from the Dark Ages is already running (ruining) the network.

Did October Road get picked up for 13 or 22 episodes? I am just happy to have Bryan back on my TV screen next season even though the show isn't that great. Hope they do a better job than What About Brian did with season 2. I kinda wish WOB was back also because it was starting to get good again.

Well... on Lost... next Wed. everyone will see where it's "going" and it would seem they can't drag that out too long. ABC wanted three years and Carlton and Damon said we only have 48 eps left of the story. To go any longer would leave very few fans watching. Die hards for sure but the casual viewers on that show are eroding quickly. ABC was slated to launch the game changer earlier this year and saved it for the finale because it's the one thing this season has that will get people talking all summer.....

ABC....... you know it would be nice if one of these networks would not just do this whole this is what is new thing... how hard could it be for ABC to say..... we had a great run with some of these series but they just didn't fit ABC in 2007/2008. The series are....... insert shows that we just have to assume are cut... What About Brian, Knights oF Prosperity, According To Jim, George Lope.. I HATE the party line of "lets just not talk about them" and people will stop asking....

Common, despite the widely held belief that 'more is more,' in actuality sometimes less really is more. I have no problem with the LOST plan since it gives the producers more time to focus on the stories of these remaining 48 episodes. Plus Damon & Carlton have said we won't really understand why they're doing this until after seeing the finale next week.

NBC is only ordering more episodes of their shows because they're desperate for ratings and in their opinion more original episodes equals more ratings. But when Tim Kring, the crew and cast of Heroes are burnt out from doing 30 episodes of the show, we'll see what happens.

All we need to know about ABC is that they have Cavemen on the sked, and cut LOST to 16 episodes.

As I noted under the NBC story, a good network expands upon a pop-cult hit, like Heroes: Origins (from Heroes). They don't cut the season short and try to sell it as a cause for celebration. Wonder what NBC could've done with LOST? Wish we could find out.
