Don’t Miss: VERONICA MARS Series Finale

With VERONICA MARS airing its two final episodes tonight (8—10PM on the new CW), I thought I’d take a moment to thank Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Percy Daggs III, Jason Dohring, Francis Capra, Ryan Hansen, Kyle Gallner, Teddy Dunn, Tina Majorino, Brandon Hillock, Tessa Thompson, Julie Gonzalo, Chris Lowell, Harry Hamlin, Amanda Seyfriend, Max Greenfield, Charisma Carpenter, Ken Marino, every cast and crew member, and yes, even Michael Muhney (the recently deceased Sheriff Lamb) for three fantastic seasons.

VERONICA MARS was a rarity on television. A smart, sophisticated drama that had this TV Addict on the edge of his seat each and every Tuesday night. For three seasons, Kristen Bell brought to life Rob Thomas’ unique vision, providing fans with one of television’s most entertaining and unique female protagonists. Ms. Mars and Mr. Thomas — Thank You. Here’s hoping this isn’t the last time we get to enjoy the adventures of VERONICA MARS.

Well said. I will miss Veronica Mars SOOOOOOOO much and can’t stand to think that it isn’t coming back. I’m trying to believe that there’s still a glimmer of hope for it to return sometime, but it doesn’t look that way… I love this show, and all of the actors in it.

  • Shannon

TVaddict…it is SO WRONG that you didn’t mention Kyle Gallner (Beaver) and if your going to give props to everyone with their actually names and not their character names then you have to say thanks to Michael Muhney not Sheriff Lamb! My thanks also go to Daran Norris (Cliff) you were so darn funny and Amanda Noret (Madison) I loved hating you! Thanks to all the actors, writers, directors and crew on Veronica Mars, you made watching TV so much better…you will all be missed! Much Love!

  • Dear Shannon.

I am so sorry, no seriously, I meant to mention Cassidy (not Beav)! Even though he did sort of kill a bus load of innocent victims, without him, season two wouldn’t have been the same. I will correct to the post above. Thanks for reminding me.

  • I’m still so angry about this getting dropped and other CLEARLY inferior CW shows (I’ll be nice and not name names) getting picked up for another season. It’s just plain wrong.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. =) I fell in love with this show from the first episode. I have always been drawn to strong women who kick ass. It started with “Charlie’s Angels” and lead me to “Buffy” (I STILL MISS U ON TUESDAYS BUFFY!!!!) and then “Veronica Mars.” I hate to cry over what others think as insignificant, but I will miss this show!!! Today is a dark day for me. I will mourn the loss of “VM”. The good die young on TV, unless they keep going into “should have been cancelled years ago mode.”

What a sad day for Veronica fans. Let’s celebrate the greatness of the show. Smart writing, fantastic acting, wonderful characters, just loved it. It will definitely go down as one of the good ones out there. Thank you for the memories Veronica Mars! And I wish the best to the cast and crew in finding more projects on the same scale to be a part of.

Ok, I just watched the 2-hour finale, and I was wrong in a previous post. The show is great, hands-down. Geez, I’m fickle. Sad note to end on, but riveting mystery. (Although, come to think of it, I’m still not exactly clear why the person taped VM & Piz. Hmmm…yes, I’m dense. Can someone sum it up in a sentence or two?)

  • Mike

wow what a bittersweet ending tonights episode actually was. I truely have to say that I cant believe the entire series is going to end without more closure than this. I havent been that interested in two straight hours of television in as long as I can remember. The even more amazing thing is the lineup for Fall of 2007, they made room for shows that are certain failures. I am more than disappointed in the fact that this series has ended, say goodbye to another piece of intelligent television…

  • DB

hopefully they include the “VM: FBI trailer” that Rob Thomas made (didn’t it cost like $250k?) in the Season Three DVD set. Farewell Veronica! You’re too good to be on the CW.

  • Jo

The consensus on the boards is that the camera was placed to observe Wallace to gather info for
The Castle and they just lucked out by taping Veronica & Piz.

  • Erica

Hated it. Hated hated hated it. Why did it have to end on such a downer, and so convoluted because no one would talk to each other honestly? And Logan? They turned him into a moron that made even Dick look smart in comparison.

  • I think the show couldn’t have gone out on a higher point. Both of these episodes were top notch and reminded me why I so furiously love this show. I’m positive that if Veronica had started off on the WB or any other network (excluding FOX) instead of UPN, the show would have been a hit. It was the wrong kind of show for UPN, on a more mainstream network it probably would have flourished. It did debut at the same time as other long-arc shows like Lost and Desperate Housewives, remember?

  • J

It is sad that I can’t think of any other female leading TV characters that were as strong and kick ass as Veronica. These two episodes were amazing and I will miss the writing of the show very much. Other than The Office I can’t think of a show that I enjoy as much as Veronica Mars. RIP VM you will be missed.

veronica and keith, underdog’s once again.

logan and veronica. wow, that connection. piz doesn’t stand a chance.

the show leaves us as noir as that first time we met her it outside the camelot motel. the world’s a bitch. and so is she. and i like it.

  • Common Sense

So there really WAS no explanation as to why VM & Piz were taped? I mean, it was Piz’s room, not Wallace’s. And if I’m following this….the father of Lily & Duncan (two close VM friends) basically ruined Keith’s life? Don’t really know Mr. Kane’s history, but he seems like a rich, royal jerk.

  • Tim

Uh, Wallace lived in the room, as well.

  • bianca

please VM again…..:(!!!!!!!!….I love this program so much I couldn’t believe when I knew this …please again just one season …

  • Jasey

I don’t get it…my friends and I all love this show here in Australia, its just weird to think that it isn’t popular enough to continue when there is so much other crap out there that is. What are you Americans doing! Watch the good shows, for the sake of us Aussies! Its a sad day.
