He has had quite a bit of success as a singer/songwriter/recording artist. I've been following his career after seeing him play in Toronto and didn't know he was even on Canadian Idol. However, I don't think the medium of a game show like Canadian Idol fully highlights what this boy can do. Although, Canadian Idol has allowed him to show what sort of showman he can be, as well as demonstrating his really good sense of humour. I'm guessing he wants the exposure and is willing to challenge himself into different musical/entertainment spheres.
