Ugh! We ended up staying overnight out of town Saturday night and didn’t get home until nearly 10:00 Sunday night so I missed The Loop! We hadn’t planned on being gone Sunday, so I didn’t set anything to record. Luckily 4400, DZ & Food Network Star repeat at 11 for me.

Once again, I’m watching The Loop, and am astounded at how funny the old man “Russ” (Philip Baker Hall) is. Let’s hope some network gets him in another series pronto. He’s comic gold. Kudos to the writers for giving him such outrageous material to work with, too.

Burn notice was alright. I don’t know about others, but it’s kind of like CSI, Law and Order, 24, Criminal Minds, type shows for me where they’re alright, I’ll watch them once and awhile, but I won’t care about them like I care about shows like Greys, Lost, etc.

I’m glad to hear Drive was rescheduled. I checked my tivo and i think it said Anger Management was on Wednesday night. I thought maybe it was my local FOX station choosing not to air it. I was pissed!

The Futon Critic is reporting that FOX has rescheduled the last two “Drive” episodes to July 13th.

No, I don’t know what they’re drinking and/or smoking/inhaling.

I enjoyed “Burn Notice” — some nods to MacGyver (the improvisation, voice overs), Magnum, PI (the out of work PI), The Equalizer (champion for the underdog), with a dash of “Miami Vice.”

Sharon Gless as the hypochondriac mother is way too cliche, and should be healed!

I liked “Burn Notice”. It was the pilot episode, so a lot of the time was taken setting up the situation. I will expect a little more this week.

My only complaint was Sharon Gless’s role as the mother. I like Sharon Gless, but the character is too annoying to spend much time with. I realize she is supposed to be annoying, but either tone her down or have her on less. I would prefer to have her character shifted a little and keep her on, but the alternative will work for me also.
