THE RETURN OF TONY ALMEDIA IS A GOOD IDEA. SEASON 5 WAS ONE OF THE WORST AND BEST SEASONS OF 24 AT THE SAME TIME. IT HAD THE MOST ACTION AND INTERESTING IDEAS HOWEVER KILLED OFF WAY TOO MANY INTERESTING CHARACTERS TO KEEP ME INTERESTED INCLUDING TONY, EDGAR, PALMER, AND MICHELLE. SEASON 6 KILLED OFF CURTIS AND MILO WHICH WERE LARGE LOSSES AS WELL BUT KEPT THAT IDIOT MORRIS IN PLAY. 24 REDEMPTION WAS VERY GOOD AND LET’S HOPE THAT SEASON 7 WILL FOLLOW THE PATTERN OF SEASONS 1-4 WHERE IF A CHARACTER THAT’S EITHER LIKABLE OR IMPORTANT HAS TO DIE. FINE! BUT WHERE SEASONS 5 AND 6 WENT OFF COURSE WAS THAT THEY WERE KILLING OFF CHARACTERS JUST FOR THE SHOCK VALUE AND NOT FOR WHAT’S BEST FOR THE STORY. SEASON 7 NEEDS TO CORRECT THESE MISTAKES IN EITHER NOT KILLING OFF ANYBODY, OR MAKING THE DEATHS MAKE SENSE UNLIKE CURTIS’S DEATH IN SEASON 6. TONY ALMEDIA RETURNING IS GOOD AND IS CORRECTING A WRONG FROM THE PAST. LET’S JUST HOPE HE LASTS UNTIL SEASON 8!

I am so amazed that disrespect is happening on this website towards 24, those that have commented have no respect for such a great show. It appears to me that they can only be a critic and not appreciate the superiority of 24. Their comments are to be disregarded as fodder and sac religious.

Apparently not only will Tony be returning, but he looks to be the VILLAIN behind the terrorist attacks. Maybe that will be their reasoning for not mentioning him all last season. He was keeping himself hidden and becoming a terrorist. This sounds like a bad wrestling “heel turn” to me. I guess in the end Jack will have to kill Tony this year.

This has to be one of the stupidest ideas in the history of television. I hope this is the “brilliant” idea that will finally take this fading show off the air. I don’t like Tony and if I want to see a really talented Latino actor I sure won’t waste my time on no-talent Carlos when Jimmy Smits will be on a new show this season.

“Jump the shark” may be overused but it fits this situation perfectly. The producers have no original ideas, they have to resort to stealing the idea of bringing back the dead from past shows (how many of you remember Dallas?) Thumbs down to Tony coming back!!

I don’t care if there’s a bit of suspended belief in the idea of Tony returning to CTU, or wherever else this season is set. His is a welcome re-addition, and it was silly for the producers to “semi-kill” him off in the first place. He was one of the most popular characters on the show. There’s been enough “24″ Season 6 bashing. Let’s put it to rest as well as the saying, “jump the shark,” which is overused, overdramatic, and over-stayed its welcome.

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tony is back!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy about this that I don’t care if 24 has jumped the shark. Tony was my favorite so to have him back means a lot to me.
