I’d say the most memorable patient has to be Elias Koteas (Casey Jones from the TMNT movies). I mean, the guy freaking SHOT House.

  • Courtney

My most memorable patient would be Alex, the teen supermodel being treated for heroin addiction but ends up being a boy with testicular cancer.

  • Cristy

Mark Warner, Stacy’s husband. Best storylines ever.

  • Nat

I think the most memorable patient was House himself in the episode “Three Stories.” The entire episode and the reveal that he was the patient they were trying to diagnose was just awesome. One of the best hours on TV ever.

  • Rod

I’ll go with Cynthia Nixon. That woman is just amazing, no words.

  • nono the bean

maybe sarah clarke (nina from 24). she was quite nice in season 1 !

  • SuperChris

John Larroquette, from the episode ‘Son of Coma Guy’. I thought he played his character really well and made it funny, adding to House and Wilson’s chemistry.

  • Nicole

The most memorable one for me was Michelle Trachtenberg (I miss Buffy!) as a girl that goes into anaphalactic shock after her boyfriend kisses her. Good episode, good guest star!

  • Stef

Dave Matthews. He was incredible on the show with a moving storyline.

Probably the one that stands out the most to me was the episode with the girl/guy named Alex that thinks she’s a girl, but is actually a guy with testicular cancer. It was one of the first episodes I watched, and certainly caught my attention. I’ve been a loyal fan ever since.

  • Patrick

I have to agree with Nat on this one. The episode in which House tells the stories that reveal the truth about his leg still stands out in my mind as the most gripping episode in the series. House is his own best patient.

  • Anne

Andie, the nine year old cancer patient in Autopsy, because she managed to convince House to buy a motorcycle and a really cool leather jacket, and maybe, just maybe, inspired House to allow himself a little unfettered happiness.

  • Linda B.

Only 2 episodes of House i’ve seen – the one w/ the baseball player smoking dope and the one where the girl had a tick up her hoo-haa.

  • Jessica

    Dave Mattews hands down

  • Brad

Most memorable episode for me is one that has been already mentioned a couple times “Three Stories.” One is tells the story of House’s leg and two you get some nice scenes with Carmen Electra. Plus Sela Ward always does a good job in my opinion.

  • kimmy

i would have to say my fav would be the kid who acted like house… he was AWESOME.. and house playing chess w/ him was classic….

  • Zoe

Having been a fan of Buffy, I must say that, for me, the most memorable guest star would have to be Michelle Trachtenberg. She is a good actress, and the storyline was interesting too.

  • ewanspotter

Allison Smith from the season two episode “The Mistake.” She helped make this episode — so pivotal in the development of Chase’s character — both wonderful and heartbreaking.

  • Mary

It’s hard to pick just one. In addition to the main cases, there’ve been some pretty memorable clinic patients: the guy who claimed to love cows, the girl who used strawberry jelly as a contraceptive, 80-something Georgia and her ode to House.

  • Chelsie

Dave Matthew was by far the most memorable guest star. I’ve loved his music for a long time, and never knew he could act so well.

  • http://www.sg-1spoilergate.jackfic.com Morjana Coffman

The spectacular and wonderful Joe Morton as Senator Gary H. Wright in the episode, “Role Models.” Not only was the a plot about the senator excellent, but House’s sting on Vogler regarding House’s speech “endorsing” a new drug from Vogler’s company was awesome. First rate and thought provoking hour of television, and of course, very entertaining.

    Morjana

  • Alysa

Dave Matthews gets my vote. I loved the duet with House, and his acting was spot on.

  • Marie

Dave Matthews is my pick but there have been a lot of fabulous guest stars; hard to choose.

  • Jessamy

    John Cho.

  • Jacob Orcutt

    Robin Tunney.

  • Lisa

Hmm lots of good ones to choose from … the guy who shot House, the kid who said he could talk to God (and messed with House’s mind for awhile), the mean kid that House played chess with, the model who was actually a guy with cancer, Cynthia Nixion was freaking awesome … but I think I have to go with a classic and say House himself during Three Stories. That episode was one of the best of the series, in my opinion. Quite the enjoyable show. =)

  • carter

Elias Koteas as the unnamed shooter (called Moriarty in the script, in reference to Sherlock Holmes’s nemesis) in “No Reason” for the simple fact that he’s the only guest on the show so far who was able to reach and match the brilliant performance of Hugh Laurie. It has made “No Reason” a true joy to watch, with its brilliant back and forth between the two. The slower the dialog became the more gripping it got.

And we never even found out what his true motive was for shooting House and where he disappeared to afterwards. So cool!

  • Anne

    Bevin Prince

  • Amy

    Dave Matthews in “Half-Wit”!

  • Heather

Dave Matthews, last season in the episode “half-wit”, one of my favorite episodes. Dave Matthews played his role so well, and you got to see a different side of House. Dave Matthews played Patrick Obyedkov, a thirty-five-year-old savant, has dystonia in his left hand. He was in a bus accident when he was ten and with no prior musical training suddenly started playing piano

  • Sian

I would have to say the Dave Matthews was the most memorable patient on House so far. We got to see a side of House that we don’t get to see that often and watching both House and Dave Matthews play the piano and a song the Hugh Laurie himself composed was just amazing

  • Brad

For me it’s Dave Matthews. When the ep started, I was like, “Hmm…Dave Matthews.” But by the middle and end, I was past the “star” part of it and was hooked on the story. That’s how seamlessly he fit into the cast during that episode.

  • http://www.series-blog.fr davidous

i’ll say Michelle Trachtenberg ’cause she acts well, she’s cute and it was during this ep that the Beautiful’s cover was aired

  • http://marriage.families.com/blog Heather Long

The most memorable for me was the faith healer with the virus that helped Wilson’s patient and who challenged House and his own belief in medicine.

  • COYLA KEHL

I like so many, two that stand out are John Larroquette when he forced House to Play his game and Georgia with her love poem.

  • John S

    Dave Matthews hands down

  • Robin Quinn

The best patient has to be House himself in “Three Stories”. To watch him teach a class, weave 3 cases together and present himself as a patient was pure magic.

  • Renate DeRoch

It’s really hard to pick one, though I must say Dave Matthews was a wonderful surprise. He did a great job in the role.

  • Karen

I also have to vote for Dave Matthews. Everything about that episode, from House’s playing the piano intro to “I Don’t Like Mondays” by the Boomtown Rats, to the pleasant surprise of seeing Kurtwood Smith outside of That 70s Show, made the episode truly memorable.

  • Beverly

    Dave Matthews! Totally.

  • Mel

Definitely Dave Matthews! Cynthia Nixon is a close second though.

  • Lauren

The woman who played Georgia. She is the clinic patient I love and remember most. She played out-of-her-mind syphilis very well and makes me laugh no matter how many times I watch the episode.

  • Nancy Phipps

It has to be “Three Stories.” There cannot be any more memorable patient than House himself. Ipse dixit.

  • Em

Dave Matthews was a great guest star and part of a great episode

  • Nancy

Andie, the little girl from Autopsy. He treated her with respect and compassion when offered her a choice about her life. I thought I would melt when she hugged him and he didn’t hug her back. She let him see that maybe it was OK to have just a little enjoyment in life and he bought the motorcycle.

  • James

it has to be DAVE MATTHEWS. i like them soooooo much!

  • Nancy

If we can pick HOUSE then I vote for Three Stories. I LOVED the entire Sela Ward arc because it showed that House could be vulnerable.
If not, then cancer girl would be my next choice. She made me cry at the end saying good-bye to everyone and House saying he wasn’t going to hug her. She was wise beyond her age.

I LOVE HOUSE and I ADORE Hugh Laurie.
    Hope I win!! :)

  • Akira

Must be Dave Matthews in “Half-Wit”. Brilliant!

  • Joanna

Most definitely House himself. He only cares about himself, so I’m sure he agrees with me :-)

  • Maria

Dave Matthews! I must have watched that episode 7 times. Kurtwood Smith also did an excellent job playing his father.

  • Geri

House himself, definitely. IA with Nat and others mentioning the brilliance of “Three Stories”.

  • VCAD

to me the most memorable patient is David Morse, the guy who played the cop, House was sarcastic and rude to him as to everyo else, but he turned out to be worse and looked all the trobles he created for House. I think he played a great role, that scene at the doctor’s office was great, and then when he didn’t accepted House apology, even better, made me want to kill him! I loved that story line!

  • Horacio

I’m going with Dave Matthews on season 3. The fact that he did such an outstanding job as a mentally challenged piano genius patient -being a musician instead of a real life actor- was really impressive!!!

And I’m not even a Dave Matthews Band fan.

  • Kerrie

House’s most memorable patient has to be Nate from “The Jerk” episode. He was over the top crazy rude just like our lovable Dr. House which made him go from “I love this kid” to the “I hate this kid”. The lady who played Nate’s mom also did an outstanding job with the I love him because he’s my kid but I really can’t stand him. Great episode – very, very memorable patient!

  • Heidi G.

Adam from “Lines in the Sand” SE3E04 I particularly think House connected with him like with no other patient before.

    **
I also liked verry much Alli from the same episode
Abigail’s mom from “Merry Little Christmas” SE3E10, so much like House himself :)

  • Nathan D.

Alyssa Shafer (Alice) from Episode SE3E09 “Finding Judas” Never forget where Cuddy becomes guardian of that girl. Particularly that scene where Cuddy is trying to cool off the girl in the shower, and House tells Cuddy that she would be suck at being a mom is heart wrenching.

  • macy

John Larroquette from “Son of Coma Guy” b/c he was House’s equal. Both knew what ‘buttons’ to push and when to stop and be serious.

  • Julia R.

House himself is my favourite as well. I think it is especially memorable how he makes medical decisions even though he’s the patient. And then right before he’s put into the coma he tells Stacy that he loves her and they’ll go golfing afterwards as in ‘don’t worry, I’ll be fine’. He’s showing his vulnerability and medical expertise and has no idea what’s going to happen to him as soon as he’s out.
If I can’t pick House cause he’s not a guest on the show, it would be Carter Page – Ian from “All In”. That little boy is totally adorable and endure’s everything he’s got to go through. The dialogue with his mom while he’s in the MRI machine is absolutely heart-breaking. He’s scared and his mom tells him to hold still just like he’d have to for having his picture taken and he responds that it’s not the same and finally asks ‘Mom, are you crying?’ – great acting from Carter and the mom. (And also, this case has a very special meaning to House cause it is the same disease he couldn’t diagnose 12 years ago and he’s kept the patient file ever since, so he’s really emotionally invested.)

    Ron Livingston.

Ok ! Did some good thinking about this , and here we go : for House himself the most memorable patient was definied by him in episode 17, 2 temp, as Esther, the only patient that died without his diagnosis, he sees the same symptoms in a little boy Ian (6 years old). Now, for me, the most memorable patient was Wood Harris (Mr. Bowman) on episode 09, 5 temp, when he holds the whole team hostage until they can finally get an answer for his condition. House takes his gun at some point then gives it back …because he understands that he rather go to jail than live without knowing. Thanks !
