I saw the Veronica Mars DVD sets at Amazon yesterday and just couldn’t pass them up at $14.99 each. They are scheduled for delivery on Monday and could come in handy, should the strike negotiations scheduled to begin again on Monday, as well, not lead to anything fruitful in the near future. Here’s hoping that both sides get their act together and solve this sooner rather than later.

Is it cool to buy TV on DVD during the writers’ strike? I was debating this last week when Best Buy had West Wing and Veronica Mars for $15.

I am not that into saving a few bucks. I will be sleeping in on Black Friday and ordering all of my gifts via online retailers. They ship them to my mother’s house so I don’t have to transport them when Christmas rolls around. I cannot stand big stores with big crowds. I will pay a little extra to shop from the comfort of my own home.

Sadly I’ll be working black friday. I don’t start til 9:30 so maybe I’ll go watch the crazies flood Wal-Mart or Best Buy.

A couple years ago when I worked at Best Buy in the Media section of the store we would have to show up earlier than most of the other departments to set up new items and such. I would be getting to work at 6 AM on Tuesdays for a 10 AM store opening because of new releases in music and movies.

What made me quit was that on Black Friday I was scheduled to work from 2 am til 10 am.
