Breaking News: TV Guide Buys TV Addict

Mark your calendars friends, today is a historic day for

Gemstar, the parent company of TV Guide International has acquired for an undisclosed sum.

Serving hundreds of thousands of bored office workers and procrastinating students television fans each and every month, has quickly grown into one of the web’s leading destination for all things television.

With the acquisition will also come a name change of historic proportions. After coming to the realization that the only people who use TVGuide as a ‘guide for TV’ are sixty year old grandmothers, TVGuide will be renamed TV Addict.

    You think ‘TV Guide’ is an old-fashioned name? One of our main TV listings mags here in the U of K (in fact, I think it’s the oldest) is called the ‘Radio Times’.
    It’s been produced for the BBC for donkey’s years, and you can guess what it used to exclusively feature…
