Monk is my absolute favorite TV show. It is hard not to toally fall in love with the hysterical cast and entertaining cast. Monk and all of his phobias keeps my attention. He is hillarious in his role. Traylor Howard or Natalie Teeger is a very motherly assistant to Monk and she can take on those embarassing mom moments with her daughter, Julie. Julie, played by Emmy Clarke is a pretty and smart teenager. Randy has got to be my favorite character. Jason Gray-Stanford is hillarious and entertaining. He is practically a kid in a larger kid's skin. He is curious and brave but also silly and childish, like someone stuck in the middle. He is like Leland's pet puppy that follows Leland around trying to proove himself and he often does proove himself brave, useful, and spazzish... in the best way. Ted Levine pulls of a great role as Leland. He is great at acting like the cop who has been around and can hardly tolerate the outburts and "wise-cracks" from his assistant, Randy. He is has a really dry sense of humor and watching the way he puts up with people is really funny. He can be pretty tough for some older guy though its only a role.

Usa tv station should take Monk off, and put another episode of Jag on. this show is so much better than Monk. Usa tv station should take House off as well. The actor in this series is disgusting. I am so glad Usa tv has the good sense to keep Walker, Texas Ranger on. There are enough lousy shows on as it is.

Stanley passed away shortly after I spoke with Tony (the interview was a few weeks ago). I think it actually was right after I got back from Chicago.

Great interview! I love Monk and I love Tony Shalhoub. Did you not get to ask him anything about Stanley Kamel? Just wondered what his take was on the tragic death of Mr Kamel and of the replacement.
