With the 2008 UpFront week officially behind us, theTVaddict.com wanted to take a moment to reflect on the season that was. So without further ado and kleenex at the ready, we tearfully present ‘In Memoriam — A Tribute To TV Favorites 2007/08.’

Sorry, can’t watch. I’m still too broken up about Moonlight. (I could barely watch the finale).

    What about Lex? Chloe?

    Ahhh… I haven’t watched Thursday’s Smallville yet!

Most tragic losses for me personally: *Jericho*, Moonlight (season/series finale was best episode yet), Journeyman, *Men In Trees*, The 4400 (left out of the video above)

Honorable Mentions: Kid Nation, New Amsterdam, Women’s Murder Club

Narrowly Dodged Bullet: Boston Legal (s4 = best season yet; sigh of relief)

I noticed Beauty & the Geek was on the list too. Is that official yet? It was not mentioned as a returning nor cancelled show at the upfronts. Could it possibly, please, be up in the air? How expensive could it be to produce. Couldn’t it make a good summertime show, if nothing else?

Between the strike and the wildly drunken swinging axe of cancellation, I think my enthusiasm for TV is seriously damaged, perhaps permanently. I still have a few must-see shows and a few more old standbys I’m debating about continuing to watch, so it’s not like I’m going to cancel cable or put my TiVo on eBay. But, I think the damage done from this messed up year of entertainment might be felt in some way for a few years to come.

Todd W in NC – I couldn’t agree w/ you more. I’m so tired of seeing great shows (Journeyman, Moonlight) cancelled while so much other crap stays on the air.

I can’t believe no more Side Order of Life. Loved it. And New Amsterdam. I thought Fox might give it a chance. … then I remembered it’s Fox.

I’m so sad about Miss/Guided! It was so well written and featured stellar comedy from both Judy Greer and Chris Parnell. Stupid ABC for not advertising the right way – I barely knew about the show until a fellow Arrested Development fan in my office mentioned that Kitty’s new show was premiering.

I’m going to miss Jericho and The 4400. Both were axed way before their time!

I think my favorite part of the video was Mischa Barton’s career, featuring her mug shot. lol

  • Tarn

I liked Moonlight. I’ll miss Moonlight. Where else am I going to get my Jason Dohring fix? *grumbles*

  • Cara

Still grieving over the way Moonlight was canceled after all but being told it would be renewed. No more CBS for me! Especially with this dumb “womans’ gotta have a man or die” Ex-List they plan to put in it’s place! Utterly revolting premise there!

jericho, moonlight, journeyman, and new amsterdam all were good shows with places and directions that they could have gone. all the crap that gets renewed , leaves me watching less and less TV.
