The TV Addict has just learned that Canadian actress Jane McLean [THE DRESDEN FILES] will be joining the cast of DEXTER in a recurring role this season. Not surprisingly, sources are tight-lipped on what exactly that role will be. But seriously, when has that ever stopped the readers of theTVaddict.com from rampant and irresponsible speculation. A lover for Deb? A victim for Dexter? Post away with your theories.

Exclusive Interview: SMALLVILLE Star Sam Witwer
With roles in DEXTER, the new STAR WARS video game and SMALLVILLE, actor Sam Witwer has seemingly corned the market on evil. Well, playing evil that is. Which is exactly what this TV Addict started off asking him about when I was given the opportunity to chat with the actor about his newest role as Davis Bloome/Doomsday on SMALLVILLE.
Let me start off by asking. What’s with all the dark characters?
Sam Witwer: SMALLVILLE approached me and said we need an actor to be extraordinarily dark, yet really sweet and vulnerable. On DEXTER I played the devil, in THE MIST I’m probably the nicest guy in the movie, so I’m not sure what they saw. But it’s exciting to be on SMALLVILLE, it’s been really fun and I’m happy about it.
Before we delve into SMALLVILLE I’d like to take a moment to discuss another killer “D” you’ve been associated with. I had no idea until I started doing research for this interview [and by research, this TV Addict naturally is referring to pulling up your imdb profile] that you played the fraudulent Ice Truck Killer on DEXTER!
No one realized I was on DEXTER but it was really fun to work on. I got to shave my head and fake that I was the Ice Truck Killer. Nobody recognizes me, which I actually find really flattering because as actor you strive to make every character different.
Your character Davis Bloome is making his first appearance on SMALLVILLE tonight. What can you tell us about him?
Davis is a paramedic in Metropolis and is a really sweet, conscientious and moral guy. So if you’re tuning into SMALLVILLE tonight, you’re not going to see a d*ck or a lunatic. Unfortunately, it just so happens that he’s also Doomsday and when he finds out about it, he isn’t too happy.
KNIGHT RIDER Review: Worst New Show of the Season
When NBC President Ben Silverman first announced the re-launch of the KNIGHT RIDER franchise, this TV Addict was more than prepared to cut him a little slack. I mean who can blame the neophyte Peacock President for wanting to generate a few splashy headlines, cash in on America’s seemingly never-ending love affair with 80’s nostalgia, not to mention, grab, what surely amounted to a huge pile of cash from Ford [Three cheers for vertical integration!].
That said, following the train-wreck, err… auto collision that was February’s two-hour movie [see review here], Ben Silverman is officially running on empty.
Last night’s season premiere of the re-tooled KNIGHT RIDER series was quite literally unwatchable. And believe me, this TV Addict tried. Twice! After only managing to get through twenty minutes of the pre-air premiere courtesy of iTunes, I made the unfortunate mistake to take a second shot last night thinking the show couldn’t possibly as bad as I was making it out to be.
Unfortunately, it was.

Fall TV Madness: Wednesday
FRINGE & 90210 Make this TV Addict Go “Hmmm”
On the surface, one wouldn’t think that J.J. Abrams mystery box known as FRINGE and the teen-centric melodrama that is 90210 would have a lot in common. But upon closer examination, it turns out that last night’s installment of both hit shows share one major characteristic — questions. Five of which theTVaddict.com is posing to you, our far smarter and better looking readers.
1) What illicits more of an “Ewww” factor — the brain surgery surrounding last night’s central mystery on FRINGE or the fact that Dixon Mills was all too happy to provide ‘protection’ for his sister Annie?
2) Which actor is getting more of the shaft in the writing department — the adorable Jasika Nicole [Agent Astrid Farnsworth], who four episodes in, still remains completely devoid of personality. Or 90210’s Cindy Walsh re-incarnate Debbie Wilson [Lori Loughlin]. Who has been given so little to do that this TV Addict had to look up her character’s first name on imdb.
Meet SUPERNATURAL’s Newest Angel Misha Collins
If there is any truth to the old adage that you only get one chance to make a good first impression. Consider Misha Collins’ mission accomplished.
As Castiel, an Angel sent down from above to aid Sam and Dean in their fight against evil, Misha Collins managed to the impossible. Sweep the fiercely protective Winchester Fangirls off their feet. Which is exactly what I congratulated him on when I had the opportunity to chat with the actor over the phone yesterday.
I believe congratulations are in order. Your appearance on Thursday’s SUPERNATURAL season premiere left quite the impression on the fandom.
Misha Collins: Really? I thought this was par for the course.
Far from it. [Just ask Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohan]
Well that’s very nice to hear. And I guess it makes it a little nicer knowing that fans aren’t in love with everyone who appears on the show.
Have you taken the time to Google yourself and see for what the fan reaction has been like?
Friends have emailed me links to things but I haven’t really sat down and found the time. But having done a few interviews today, the reaction has seemed positive.
