I agree with Amber and I think we should be told why one of the main charcters is gone.Was is a contract dispute?If so give the man his money and get on with what was a very good show,Not so sure now.

As a fan of the show, death is death, no matter how the writers write it. Jim can not be there for Melinda as he has in the past, and I think fans of this show truly enjoyed a married couple who stood by each other, supported each other, and loved each other. In a time where tv shows live on violence and sex to keep the show running, this show focused on love. The show has enough sadness to each story line that to have a sub text love story is what brought viewers back. I felt Mr. Conrad worked well with Ms. Love-Hewitt, and I am one of the fans who won’t continue to watch anymore. There is enough heartbreak in our world, so much so, that I enjoyed a good love story at the end of the week.

Well, we found out what they are doing at least in the short term.

It is a lousy idea and the episode was poorly done.

She can talk to them, but her ultimate goal is to get the ghost to cross over. Even if she can talk to Jim, it just isn’t the same I think they had the best marriage on tv and I will be so disappointed if she starts dating other people!

I don’t beieve the actor who plays Jim is going to be around for long. From what I’ve read [ spoilers ahead ] the actor is moving on.However I surmise the character Jim will be inhabiting another body………but who ?

I don’t know how long the actor and charcter will be around, but Melinda can only talk to ghosts until they “go into the light” and sooner or later they all do – except some bad ones who stuck around to some reason and who seemed to have been forgotten.

So sooner or later I would expect Jim to be gone, and now that he is dead, sooner would be better.
