I am thankful that I will finally know the identity of the final Cylon.

I am thankful that shirtless Sawyer will once again grace my television.

I am thankful that Tony Almeida will rise from the dead and that 24 will finally show the 7th worst day of Jack Bauer's life.

But I am most thankful that Joss Whedon will once again have a tv series and that it is headlined by Eliza Dushku. Yes, I know, it is on FOX and therefore destined to break my heart. But the power of Joss compels me to watch.

I'm thankful for the outspoken Rosie O'Donnell.....but seriously have to question who assembled her variety show debut. There wasn't ONE single act that interested me (other than to see if Liza was gonna meltdown). The "jokes" were awful, the actors and schticks were stilted (the door?...c'mon)...Clay Aiken's very appearance sickened me....

I had such high hopes for the show, as Rosie has always been a fan of nostalgia I grew up with (Carol Burnett, etc.). But this execution was horrendous, and I hope Rosie is not all to blame.

I am eternally grateful for TiVo -- best TV-related invention since the TV itself (although the remote control comes close).

I am thankful for Chuck, Term.: tSCC, Prison Break, House, Stargate: SG-1, and other current favorite shows.

I am thankful that Lost and Battlestar Galactica are returning in 2009. Although not as crazy about them as most people are, I am invested in them and very curious where their stories will go (in the case of BSG, how it will end). Oh yeah, Rescue Me returns in 2009 too.

I am thankful that Boston Legal got warning that this would be their last season so that they can have a proper series finale (although I'd be more thankful if this season were as good as last season).

I am thankful that The Shield had a really good series finale this past Tuesday night.

Although disappointed that this is the last season of Stargate: Atlantis, I am thankful that the new show Stargate Universe will be starting in 2009.

I am thankful that Bravo is repeating The West Wing and that the two episodes from Tuesday were In the Shadow of Two Gunmen, Parts 1 & 2, two of the series' best episodes.

I am likewise thankful that FX reruns The Practice on weekends.

I will be thankful some day if 20th Century Fox ever releases seasons 2 thru 4 of Picket Fences on DVD.

I am thankful that a local blogger in North Carolina pointed out the recent 10 year anniversary of Babylon 5's series finale, giving me more nostalgic motivation to re-watch on DVD sometime soon the *best TV show ever*.

I am thankful that Survivor has two seasons per calendar year. Hopefully the next season, probably not far off, will be better and make up for the current season which sucks.

This is a weird one, I admit... I am thankful that PBS (or at least my local PBS affiliate; not sure how that works) is repeating the current season of The New Yankee Workshop so that I can store on TiVo the 9-part series on kitchen cabinets, which I only caught one or two episodes of the first time around.

And, I am thankful for TheTVAddict.com, one of my favorite sites that I check virtually every day.

I'm thankful for my 2 DVRs. Massive television watching - especially Thursday nights - would be impossible w/o them.

I'm also thankful for my 4 chows who keep me company while watching massive amounts of tv. They never complain :)

I'm thankful for big TV on DVD sales. I just ordered Supernatural Season 3 for only $14.99 from Best Buy! Even with tax and shipping it's still way cheaper than the usual price. Finally I can catch up on the show. I haven't watched really since S2.

I'm thankful for On Demand and online streaming, because being one of those amish people that don't have a DVR , they make it so much easier to stay caught up. I'm also thankful that music plays such a big part in tv now, because music supervision will be my future career.
