Tonight’s TV Addictions: January 26, 2009

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING:
HOUSE (8PM FOX, Global in Canada)
Cuddy’s busy babysitting, so Cameron winds up supervising House, who is dealing with a very nice patient. In the way only House can, he thinks that maybe nice ain’t such a good thing.

24 (8PM FOX, Global in Canada)
Jack has a bold plan to set things right. Can you imagine if just once, he had a kinda bland plan that involved not torture or subterfuge, but sitting down over a bucket of KFC. Maybe I’m just hungry. In other news, President Taylor has to decide whether or not her administration is going to negotiate with terrorists.

NEW & NOTABLE:
THE BACHELOR (8PM ABC)
Synergy alert! Six of the remaining nine ladies — and I use the term loosely — join the title stud on a trip to the set of GENERAL HOSPITAL, where they hang with that show’s Bradford Anderson (cybergeek Spinelli) and Kirsten Storms (mouthy Maxie). Give as this is the set of daytime’s most violent show, the gals might wanna don bulletproof vests.

SUPERSTARS OF DANCE (8PM NBC)
SUPERSTARS OF DANCE (8 p.m., NBC)
The winner is announced. Yawn. (I wanted to like this show, but it ain’t no SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Or even a pale substitute.)

THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER (8PM ABC Family)
It’s a busy week as Ricky has a chat with Grace’s parents, Amy has to decide whether or not to find out the sex of her baby, and Jack thinks he may have seen Bob doing something he shouldn’t.

THE LAST TEMPLAR (9PM NBC)
The mini-series — starring Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino (words that still inspire giggles within me) — concludes as her alter ego searches for answers regarding a reliquary and the mystery-shrouded order of knights.

BROMANCE (9PM MTV)
Brody tricks the guys into appearing in public wearing pants that are too tight. Seriously? Is this really what passes for entertainment these days? MTV needs to hang its head in shame.

KYLE XY (9PM ABC Family)
Jessi learns there’s no such thing as a free lunch when, after moving in with the Tragers, she’s recruited by Kyle to help solve Amanda’s latest woes.

TRUE BEAUTY (10PM ABC)
A photo shoot pairs the beauties with senior citizens to see which of the contestants knows what it means to respect their elders. This won’t be pretty.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES (10PM NBC)
Bo has a disturbing vision about his wife. Now that John and Marlena have been tossed aside as casually as yesterday’s newspaper, I’m having some disturbing visions of my own… and they all involve this show’s future.

I can’t believe MTV gave up music videos for shows like “bromance.” lol And as for “Days”, I stopped watching. I couldn’t watch this train wreck any more. Besides the craptacular happily ever after they gave John and Marlena – ( he’s got his memories but now he’s paralyzed from the neck down and they’re off to Europe for treatment – yea right), the fact I will not watch Chelsea or Stephanie take turns to date their Uncle Max one more time and the fact Dr. Daniel is a male ho, what’s to watch? Nicole become a shadow of her former bad a** character self? Sami in another lame plot? No thanks. I can’t watch this ‘days’ anymore.
