You Know Who Scrubs Back into the ER Tonight: But for How Long?

george clooney, er

Now that NBC has not-so-subtly let it slip that the guy Carol Hathaway married is returning to ER tonight (Yes, that guy!) we at thought we would take this opportunity to ask the following obvious, albeit slightly awkward question.

Will he-who-shall-not-be-named actually play a substantial role in tonight’s episode? Or will NBC take a page from last month’s GREY’S ANATOMY/PRIVATE PRACTICE playbook by only offering up a half-baked scene to ensure we all tune back in next week, and thus, milk these final four episodes for every ad dollar/viewer they can?

Knowing NBC as we do, we’re going to bet on the latter. How about you?

Thanks to KorbiTV for the Tip!

I don’t know, but incredibly enough, I’m actually somewhat tempted to tune in.

I stopped watching ER years ago, but totally by accident, I stumbled into the recent episode in which Anthony Edwards guest starred as Dr. Mark Greene in flashbacks along with other classic characters like Kerry, Romano, and Jerry. It felt like the old ER again, and I kinda liked it.

So, I have to admit, I’m curious. I haven’t set the TiVo for tonight’s ER yet, but I hope to remember to do so when I get home.

I know Jay Leno is taking over the weeknight 10PM spot, but with the demise of ER freeing up an hour, hopefully that means a 20% better chance of survival for Chuck.
