“Kings” is one of the best TV dramas I’ve seen in a long time. It’s well written, engaging, and offers a very cool spin on an ancient story of intrigue and violence. NBC is catering to the lowest common denominator when it cancels art like this. If NBC won’t pick it up I hope one of the cable networks will. It’s that good.

I really liked Kings. I don’t think it was given a chance. It was like someone didn’t want it to work. It should be starting now after the other shows finally . TV has cluttered the material available to watch. They make it impossible to see shows you like. Some nights there are 3 on all at the same time.. 3 favorites. !!!

This is an awesome show! I loved it from the first episode, now they are keepiong it from the air until Summer. I agree with you guys they should have held off releasing it, but it is awesome and I may have to boycott the peacock if they are stupid enough to cancel this show.

Kings is one of the best shows I have seen in a long Long LONG time!!! I can’t imagine NBC cancelling this show… there are a lot of stupid shows airing righ this minute, I don’t see how Kings could be cancelled for any of those garbage.

I know the executives at NBC will still do their thing no matter what, but I feel I need to play my part to keep this show alive.

Bottom line,”NBC do the right thing – Keep KIngs on the air”

I was intrigued by the ads for Kings, so I set my DVR to record the premiere. I watched it and had mixed feelings.. now that i’ve a few more episodes have aired I’m hooked. It’s a great show, very very refreshing. It’s not Heroes and that’s a good thing. Hopefully NBC doesn’t can this show. They could can Heroes for all I care. TJ was right about Heroes not being worth anything after Season 1. Maybe they should rename it Lost cause I am.

Agreed on all points. I don’t watch much TV, but really enjoy Kings and will be watching every episode so long as it is on.

I don’t know much about the TV industry, but it seems the network made some tactical errors in its release, which led to underwhelming ratings. I think if they adjust the time and do some better promos, it could improve.

The show has superior writing and acting. I for one will be watching it so long as it is on.

Case in point -> Heroes hasn’t had a decent episode since season 1 and it’s ratings are through the floor. It’s STILL being renewed for a fourth (though likely last, if things keep up as they are) season.

This is not a duplicate comment, despite what the website says! I have yet to read a bad review on this site. Part of the reason for the poor ratings is that Sunday nights are hardly the place for primetime dramas. I believe that Kings was actually envisioned as a mid-season replacement for ER when went off the air in March, but for some reason, NBC decided to bump the schedule and premiere it early. Given the reception it’s received by those who actually WATCH the show, look for NBC to fiddle with it’s timeslot before it makes any decisions on the show. With NBC’s current slate of flops, I don’t see Kings going anywhere unless it fails abysmally. Look for it next fall, likely in the 8 PM Thursday timeslot..
