If RESCUE ME wanted to be a network dramedy it might try to be like this. Or not. About New York cops who take up cases both off-kilter and Serious, it can’t seem to figure out how to react to either situation, making THE UNUSUALS more disjointed than engaging. The cast is likable enough (Amber Tamblyn stars as the newest transfer with a high society upbringing), but the pilot can only be described as “meh.” 
THE UNUSUALS premieres Wednesday April 8th at 10PM on ABC (GlobalTV in Canada)
