Milo Ventimiglia, Cristine Rose and Jack Coleman Offer Up 3 Reasons Why Fans Should Give HEROES a Second (or Fourth) Chance

Look we get it. HEROES has become the television equivalent of that really bad relationship. The one where you’re constantly giving a second, third or heck, even fourth chance to that special someone in the hopes of re-capturing the magic of those unforgettable first few months.

Which is why this TV Addict has enlisted a few genuine ‘heroes’ to lend a hand with tonight’s big decision. Do you give what executive producer Bryan Fuller promises will be “the best finale the show has ever had” one last chance? We are, and here’s why.

Not only did the allusive Cristine Rose (Angela Petrelli) offer up three tantalizing word (“Time will tell!”) when we asked her to tease tonight’s finale at last weekend’s HEROES FOR AUTISM event. She confirmed an actual heroes death, promising that, “one of the main characters that’s been with us from the very beginning is really dead and nobody believes that but it’s absolutely true.”

Next up, is the man who brought horn-rimmed glasses back, Jack Coleman (HRG) who teased that tonight’s finale, “unravels in a dramatic way that springs us into a very cool fourth season.”

And finally, comes the surprisingly candid Milo Ventimigliia who had this to say when asked by this TV Addict why fans should give the show one last shot. “I think it’s a bummer that they [the fans] left. I understand they can get frustrated with the show, we [the actors] get frustrated with the show at times. But we stick with it and we ask that they stick with it because there are a lot of episodes between number one and the series finale and I think that when you look back with all of them compiled together everyone will realize and understand that the growth of the show, the maturation of the show came from every single episode. Some are going to be better than others, but everyone of them is a building block.”

I think I have TV loyalty to the point that it is just silly sometimes. So I’m still watching Heroes and I’m again hopeful that next season will bring back the Season 1 charm. Even “bad” Heroes is better than some shows.

Ok, from this point may be spoilery, so consider yourself warned.

I’m varily certain the death will be Nathan. The previews show Angela Petrelli extremely upset and I’m betting the death of one of her sons would do that to her. And there is the fact that Sylar seems to be taking over his identity. They have hinted that the person who dies might still be around in some fashion, so all signs point to Nathan.

I gave up mid-season. There are just too many great shows currently on the air to put up with mediocrity. After the near disaster of Season 2 we were promised that “they got it” and had plenty of time with the writers strike to clean up their act. Instead the message we got right off the bat with the appearance of Maya was that they clearly didn’t get it. There isn’t even anyone likeable left.

  • The last few episodes have been getting the show on track. But, honestly, I’d say to everyone who is not a die-hard, skip tonight’s episode and just start watching at season four.

It looks like they are working to wiping the slate clean and getting back to stories about family with smart characters who just happen to have super powers.

I have watched Heroes every week since it started and I have absolutely no idea what is going on anymore. I find it weird that this is the season finale. It doesn’t seem like we’ve been building up to anything at all. The characters have mostly been running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Yes, I’ll be watching, but only because I love Chuck and Medium. At this point, I think of Heroes as a time-filler between those two far superior shoes.

IMO, the problem with Heroes is that none of the Heroes are heroic at all. I don’t see why this is such a hard problem to fix.

Forrester — You said exactly how I feel about Heroes right now. It just seems like there has been a whole lot of nothing going on this season. Characters pop in and out and their story never really gets resolved. Pretty much every storyline just feels unfinished and they never come back to it. It seems like by the end of each episode the characters are back to where they started.

IF TONIGHT’S FINALE IS GOOD ENOUGH TO GET FANS INTERESTED IN WATCHING NEXT YEAR, AND YOU REALLY WANT TO GIVE THE SHOW A CHANCE……MAYBE CONSIDER A NEW TIME SLOT…”DANCING” KICKS
    ASS….PUT IT UP AGAINST A WEAKER LINEUP…..JUST A SUGGESTION?
