Fox Unveils Their 2009-2010 Schedule

More shocking than the FRINGE season finale comes FOX’s just announced 2009-2010 schedule. FRINGE moves to Thursday and gets paired with BONES, which for the first time doesn’t find itself on the move. TERMINATOR gets terminated, and worse, replaced with ‘TIL DEATH, the show that refuses to live up to its namesake and just die (Yup, it’s gonna take a while to get over this one). And FOX pairs GLEE with a second helping of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

First look video, photos and snap judgements to come following FOX’s upfront presentation at 4PM, but until then, click below for the entire FOX 2009-2010 schedule.

Dig it! I don’t feel a drawing or need to watch one single show on this schedule! Oh, I may sample “Glee” since its in the dead zone of Wednesday nights, but I’m waiting to see what CW sticks there first. Overall, I’m just glad that FOX continues to produce uninteresting fare, because I really need more time for other things.

  • No Terminator: SCC? damn you FOX tv! lol

  • Sarah

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I though Dollhouse only got a 13-episode order? Why is it slotted for both Fall and Spring? Are they only going to air episodes every 3 weeks or something (not that I would be surprised by that, this is FOX we’re talking about….)

  • Davin Peterson

Missing from the schedule are their game shows: The Moment of Truth, Are You Smarter Than 5th Grader and Don’t Forget the Lyrics which are to air this summer. Does this mean this shows are canceled or just airing in summer?

I assume Hole in the Wall is canceled.

  • Hil

Dollhouse over SCC? Really? Very disappointing, FOX. I guess the only FOX tv I’ll watch is Thursday night. Screw the rest.

  • Laurie

What happened to Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares?

  • I would much prefer Sara Connor over Dollhouse, but I’m surprised they kept either one. I’m one of the few who did not like the Dollhouse season finale (and wasn’t too impressed with the rest of the season), but it has just enough potential for me to continue giving it a try.

I’m curious about Human Target. I liked the 1992 Rick Springfield version which only lasted seven episodes on ABC. But, I was only 16 at the time, so it didn’t take much to entertain me. The concept is interesting if not done hokey, but I’m a little worried about it starring Mark Valley who’s never impressed me.

Lasly, I’m thankful they’re not bouncing House around next season.

  • Gemma

Seriously mad over the TSCC cancellation and the crap Kevin Reilly is coming out with is NOT helping.

And I guess this means we’ll never get to read that interview you allegedly did with Jonathan Jackson!!!

  • Ace

I’m so glad that Human Target got picked up. I love Chi McBride and miss him so much. I am not a fan of where they put Fringe b/c that is a busy time slot with Grey’s, CSI, and The Office/30 Rock, but I guess we’ll see… It was perfect for Tuesdays when nothing was on.

THUMBS UP to GLEE, the DOLLHOUSE renewal, a second season of FRINGE and newcomers PAST LIFE, SONS OF TUCSON and HUMAN TARGET

THUMBS DOWN to the cancellation of MADTV, idiot comedies BROTHERS and TIL DEATH replacing TERMINATOR, and the non pick-up of AB FAB

  • BigMike

I’m still in shock over TSCC not being renewed. Dollhouse? Really? Over Sara?

Glad to see Fringe back and Castle as well.

  • Denice

amazed that TSCC and Dollhouse weren’t shuffled off together,
    excited for Dollhouse,
    disappointed for TSCC

  • Linda B.

Why do the networks keep throwing all their good shows on Thursday nights???!!! Thankfully I’ve got 3 DVRs but still, the rest of the week is like a ghost town. Then comes Thursday and BOOM! Sucks cause only 1 of my DVRs is an HD one, so Fringe and 30 Rock/Office will have to suffer.

  • Linda B.

Oh, and I’m really disappointed about T:SCC. I thought it did better in the ratings than Dollhouse, so why was the latter renewed?

  • Josh Emerson

Wow, Fringe is dead. Does Fox really expect it to compete Thursdays at 9? The only reason it did well this past season is American Idol. Fringe is going to be another Samantha Who.

I think the only Fox shows I’ll be watching are The Simpsons and Family Guy, and Glee if it ends up being a good show.

  • Sara

Nooo! So SadMad about T:SCC!!! I am a huge lover of Joss Whedon, but I would rather have the return of The Sarah Conner Chronicles than Dollhouse.

Also, I never really got the appeal of Fringe. And why can’t So You Think You Can Dance just stay in the Summer?!?!

Really though, I wouldn’t have minded anything if they just kept T:SCC, it had such a good finally! Bah, so sad now!!!!

  • B

Fringe was successful before it followed Idol (in fact, it earned its highest ratings when it followed House in the fall). Even though Idol is huge, it was incompatible with Fringe (creatively and statistically).

  • Hil

And in the way Idol ran long and pushed Fringe back and ruined DVRs around the country two weeks in a row.

  • kimerz

Cancelled Sarah Conner and moved Fringe to Thursdays? Why Fox, Why? Pleased with the Dollhouse renewal though.

  • kelly

why hank hill? i will watch alot less of fox.

  • Sarah Conner is cancelled just prior to the opening of Terminator Salvation?Fox couldn’t try another night and season for S.C.? This movie is bound to be huge and wouldn’t have been made if the franchise was as worthless as this new schedule is; (sorry Walter, you and Echo are welcome).

  • Yay! Dollhouse … Nooooo T:SCC such a stupid move Fox.

Fringe after Idol sucked. I missed so many endings of Fringe because of Idol running over.

  • SimplyKimberly

DOLLHOUSE getting renewed pretty much equals an apology for the whole writers’ strike thing (at least from FOX) that very nearly wiped out my tv addiction. I canceled my cable and only watch stuff i really love online now.

I am going to catch up on FRINGE over the summer (another show I was afraid would be doomed so I didn’t take the chance on getting hooked). Thursday night is going to be must see tv for me with e FRINGE/BONES pairing.

Other than that, that is it for me and FOX at least until 24 returns in January.

I’m sorry for the T:SCC fans. I felt the same way about ANGEL getting staked. If FOX didn’t have such a bad track record I would have given it a shot. It sounded like a great show.

  • John

wow, fox you suck! icant cant believe you cancelled terminator sarah chronicles, the season 2 finale episode left most of us hanging, i guess ill be looking for other tv shows
