At some point, George made a mistake while assisting, leading the interns to call him 007, referring to James Bond and his License To Kill. I also wanna add to my earlier comment that the whole episode, I was sitting there waiting for a big twist because the episode was too uneventful for a season finale and I still didn't see it coming! I don't know how it got past me! I knew when they focused on his eye, it was supposed to be significant, I just didn't put all the pieces together, I guess! Lori,

I did not see it coming and usually I can guess the ending way before the show is over. I am still thrown when I think about it. The character of George really added to the show with his kind and smart personality. I will be sad to see him go. I do have a question, I was not watching when they first gave him the nickname 007. Can someone explain that to me what it meant? I am just so saddened that George’s character is likely not coming back. With all the Izzie hype, I had totally forgotten that George was a possible write off, so I was upset with myself!! Too think about it now, it's so obvious, but when it happened my jaw dropped. I still wish he wasn't leaving the show though...Or at least I wish he didn't go out so fast. Saddly I think most people didn't see it coming b/c it was normal for George to just be absent. Which makes me sad b/c in the first two seasons he was one of my favorites.
