Unfortunately, some of my favorite theme songs (which conveniently come from some of my favorite shows) are instrumental only. For those with lyrics, I'll agree with Gilmore Girls, Friends, and Fresh Prince.

Some other greats:
3. Golden Girls
2. Cheers
1. The Greatest American Hero

And, some honorable mentions:
- Diff'rent Strokes
- Dukes of Hazzard
- Facts of Life
- The Muppet Show

When I Google'd theme song lists to jog my memory, one site listed Family Ties & Growing Pains tied for 7th place. They said those two tied because no one could ever remember which one was which. I disagreed until I looked up the lyrics to Family Ties and realized the words I was expecting to see really were the lyrics to Growing Pains. ;)

Yes, no one said it had to be an opening theme! I used to get it stuck in my head all the time and I liked how the last line changed sometimes. From http://www.squidoo.com/tv-show-frasier:

Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin',
Tossed salad and scrambled eggs

Oh My
Mercy! (sometimes "Quite stylish")

And maybe I seem a bit confused,
Yeah maybe, but I got you pegged!
Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!

But I don't know what to do with those tossed salads and scrambled eggs.
They're callin' again.

There were several different last lines of the Frasier theme song used from week to week.

1. They're callin' again.
2. Good night, Seattle, we love you.
3. What is a boy to do. Good night.
4. Frasier has left the building.
5. Thank You!
6. Scambled eggs all over my face. What is a boy to do. Goodnight, everybody.
7. See you next year, we love ya.

Charles: Ah, id' completely forgotten about the closing theme! Not really a classic for me... not quote as "sing-alongy" as the others (including your great Welcome Back Kotter suggestion!)

No Welcome Back Kotter? I'd put that in instead of Green Acres.

And in Ace's defense, with Frasier, I'm guessing he's talking about "Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs", the Kelsey Grammer-penned and -sung closing theme.

Ha whoops. My "haven't had coffee yet" brain totally skipped over the classic part. I did think it was strage that they were all older, but let it go. At least I threw in the Adams Family!
