When I Google’d theme song lists to jog my memory, one site listed Family Ties & Growing Pains tied for 7th place. They said those two tied because no one could ever remember which one was which. I disagreed until I looked up the lyrics to Family Ties and realized the words I was expecting to see really were the lyrics to Growing Pains.

Tossed salad and scrambled eggs

Mercy! (sometimes “Quite stylish”)

And maybe I seem a bit confused,

But I don’t know what to do with those tossed salads and scrambled eggs.

There were several different last lines of the Frasier theme song used from week to week.
