The TV Addict and Hunter Parrish, Comic Con 2009

The TV Addict: The Botwin clan could really use a break this season, will anything ever go their way?
Hunter Parrish:
You gotta stay with the dysfunction, it’s what keeps things interesting.

Are you surprised as to how much Silas has grown this season? He seems to be the only sane one in the family.
It’s quite weird since I did not start out that way. But yeah, it’s exciting to be the moral centre.

Starring in Spring Awakening last year was quite a departure for you, any plans to go back to Broadway?
Oh yeah. Nothing’s official though, but we [presumably Parrish and his agent] are looking at the fall or spring.

And before I let you go, I have to ask about Shane [Silas' younger brother] who seems to have grown about two feet over the hiatus. Does it freak you out how tall he’s gotten?
[Laughs] You know, I’ve grown a couple of inches too!

New episodes of WEEDS air Monday night at 10PM on Showtime.

Oh Silas! Weeds is a great show. Silas has actually been trying to do things by the book w/ the pot business but he’s keeps getting screwed over. lol

Am I crazy, or if Hunter Parrish was on a network show like Gossip Girl, he’d be a much bigger star by now. He’s got teen idol looks, for sure.

Common Sense — He said at one point that he was actually considered for Zac Efron’s place in High School Musical. I don’t know whether to be thankful for him b/c Weeds is way more interesting, or sad b/c he would be at Zac’s level by now.
