@ Is it possible 90210’s creative team finally came to their senses and realized that the re-boot needs to focus on characters viewers actually care about (See: the Taylors — Jackie, Kelly and Silver)

Herein lies the problem. Making viewers care about characters. Right now, I’m interested in Liam & Jen, the Taylors….and, hmmm… I guess, at this point, Annie’s storyline *is* one of the most intriguing. Once again, soap producers: you can’t just put bodies on the screen doing little and expect today’s savvy viewers to become hooked. Primetime dramas like this simply cannot skimp on the outrageousness…it’s what we expect.

While it’s sad to see Annie disappearing (again, makes sense based on what happened in the finale), I’m more interested in Silver and Adrianna’s makeovers! They were always pretty, but WOW!

I also agree that Navid was a poorly conceived character. If he was never heard from again, I wouldn’t be sad. His story was wrapped up. Sucks about Ethan, though. Maybe he’ll be back in a few years…?

It’s just a coincidence. Based on what happened in the finale I don’t think Annie is going to be hanging out with other girls anymore. There have also been many set pictures taken showing Shenae filming with new characters, so Annie will probably have a significant storyline but it won’t involve the other girls. I for one am excited for the premiere after the excellent finale (I never thought I would say that about the new 90210 after the mediocre first few episodes) and what happens with Annie actually intrigues me the most.

Also i dont get why they would put Adrianna with that new dude her and Navid where great together and was imo the reason alot of ppl stuck with 90210 last year because other then Adrianna and Navid it was horrible

Nope. I had the same reaction. “Get those girls to In n’ Out Burger…STAT!”

I really hope someone rather overzealously photo-shopped. They look very, very skinny.

As for the actual question about change in direction? Yeah. Methinks so. But will anyone stay with it? Yet to be seen.
