I actually thought last week’s was worse. I laughed a lot at this one. Although I do agree the Barney taking a class on Robin was a bit much since we know he watched her on her show and basically pays attention to the little things about her.

I enjoyed the episode, but I have to agree on the not very funny part. I’m liking this season because the characters are moving forward, but I honestly haven’t been laughing at all. It’s like a half-hour drama these days.

I didn’t think it was the show’s best ep, or in the top at all, but I didn’t think it was *that* bad. The Dead Poets Society reference was the best.

Plus, like Chelsea, I too am a Canadian without much interest in hockey so #3 doesn’t apply to me.

I actually thought it was pretty funny. Ok, the Lily and Marshall story was aweful, but the Ted/Barney/Robin plot was good. I enjoyed it

The Marshall plot point was a low one, I will agree. Very low, very unnecessary.
But I actually liked this episode better than last week’s. It felt more in-tone with the series to me. *shrugs*

Come on TV Addict! The Rangers won the Stanley Cup in 1994, not 2004! There was noting incorrect in Robin’s statement.

It wasn’t exactly the most original idea for an episode, but I still laughed far more than I do at most comedies. For example:

-”This is just me, but I like my testicles attached to my body rather than rolling around next to some eyeliner in Robin’s purse. Stinson out!”
-The beginning with Barney trying to sneak out.
-”She doesn’t say ‘I love you’ like a normal person. Instead, she’ll laugh, shake her head, give you a little smile, and say, ‘You’re an idiot.’ If she tells you you’re an idiot, you’re a lucky man. And if she does say ‘I love you,’ she’s already broken up with you in her mind.”

My only real complaint would be that they didn’t use Marshall/Lilly enough. And yeah, Barney probably would have picked up on a lot of these things just by being Robins friend (esp the hunger thing).

Huh, I actually enjoyed the episode a lot. I’m certainly seen worse from the show (The Best Burger in New York anyone?), and this was by no means a “legendary” episode but I did laugh out loud a few times and generally found it quite funny. However, I’m the rare Canuck without any knowledge or or interest in hockey so that part didn’t bug me.
