Modern Family is the absolute funniest thing on tv in a long time…
the writing is so dead on and the cast is killer…Cameron steals the show too, such a great actor! So glad they don’t add the moron laugh tracks like
most dimwitted comedies that rural America “gets”. Also like that they
usually add a “moral of the story” part in each week, which completes it.

You’d think the Parent’s Television Council would have realized the flaw in highlighting shows they detest after they single-handily turned Married with Children into FOX’s first hit years ago.

I have friends trying to get caught up with DVDs in time for the final season. They like the show but have been slow watching it. They want to get caught up so they don’t have the ending spoiled. I can see some people tuning in to the very last episode without having watched much just because it is a show that is promising a big ending, but most people I know are trying to work through the DVDs so they can watch the end and be on the same page as the rest of us. All of that has nothing to do with the decision to start in January or start in March. The final season is for the fans and those millions of people will show up for either date and the network knows it.

Hil, wasn’t that hilarious. I am both a huge Lost fan and a Heroes fan, and I can tell you that lots of people that I know quit watching in season two and plan on coming back for the final season. I also work at Blockbuster part-time and there are tons of people willing to do the DVD marathoning, in fact most people can’t even get the disc their looking for without multiple visits.

I like to call those people “Heroes fans”. Nah, I don’t think they care about the people who couldn’t keep up. It is the final season and it is for the fans who are watching. I couldn’t imagine someone coming in cold to a show like Lost just to watch the final season. They need to do some DVD marathoning to get caught up.

Glee is great, but Modern Family is better.

I think ABC would consider holding Lost until after the Olympics because they want more than just die hard Lost fans to watch. Since it’s the final season, they probably figure they can get back some of the millions of viewers who have abandoned the show since Season 1.

So is this upcoming season the last one? If so, i didn’t realize time has gone by so fast since the creators annouced there would be an end date.

The bad news for LOST is that ABC is considering showing the first 3 episodes in January and then holding the rest until March when the Olympics are over. Now, what LOST fan isn’t watching the final episodes of the show to catch some ice dancing?? Not this LOST fan.
