Having not had the chance to watch even a single-frame of Thursday TV — short of an early sneak peek of last night’s FRINGE — this TV Addict finds himself once again passing the buck to all of you — my far smarter and better looking readers — to post away with your thoughts on last night’s instalments of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, SUPERNATURAL, COMMUNITY, PARKS AND RECREATION, THE OFFICE, 30 ROCK, BONES, FRINGE, FLASH FORWARD, GREY’S ANATOMY, PRIVATE PRACTICE, SURVIVOR, CSI and THE MENTALIST.*

Full disclosure: We don’t actually watch SURVIVOR, CSI or THE MENTALIST, we’re just being polite!

FF has to be one of the most inconsistent shows that I have ever watched. One week they have an awesome episode and then they have one so bland that I can barely remember anything that happened. I’m not sure it is going to make it more than one season. Which actually might be okay with me. It has more of a miniseries feel to it anyway (but most people said the same thing of LOST).

I really enjoyed the Observer episode of Fringe. That is how you set up an intriguing sci-fi character. Not by talking about them constantly and then only featuring them in 5 episodes before they decide they don’t want to be on TV anymore…*cough, cough* Mr. Nimoy.

VD once again keeps getting better. I would say it was a hard rip off of twilight if VD actually hadn’t been around first. But I really like the story they are playing out with Damon. Making him think katherine is gone and then she isnt back and forth. It makes him a more interesting character. Also, elena, while I’m glad for certain things, finally got some sense into her at the end. And ONCE AGAIN, VD shows tv how it’s done with one of the best finale 2 minutes of tv this week I promise you.

But was last night’s FF in your good books or bad?

    Josh C,
Now that I know about your love affair with all things TWILIGHT I’m not sure I can trust your VD reviews :)

Bad. They focused on the intern who was going to kill himself when the FF happened. And I wanted to like his story b/c it was sad and heartwarming, but something about it just came off boring. And we didn’t really get any info about the mystery this week. The whole episode could have been left out and no one would know.

Did anyone else get any technical difficulties in the first 10 to 15 minutes of Flash Forward? Fluctuating SD/HD picture, freeze-framing, no sound one minute, music but no vocal track the next minute, etc.? Just wondering if it was the network, but it was probably just the local Winston-Salem affiliate.

The tech issues were distracting and made the doctor’s subplot a little harder to follow later on. I want to learn more about him and Keiko, but just showing Keiko get off a plane was a not a very strong way to end the episode. Can’t remember his name, but while I like the bearded alcoholic guy, I thought he over-reacted a little too much to FBI dude. I agree this week was a little lackluster, but next week looks pretty intense.

Been watching The Office at my neighbor’s house right after FF because they like it. I love Jim & Pam, but I find it extremely hard to endure Michael & Dwight. *Loved* Jim’s way of getting people to take him seriously as co-manager.

Survivor is frustrating because the *only* “interesting” thing about this season is watching Russell make smart moves & repeatedly find hidden immunity idols — even though he’s one of the more repulsive players the game has ever had. Can’t we get another season with some cool players in it?

30 Rock as per usual was hilarious, while FF I’m sorry to say was a snooze.

VD was good. I started watching as a guilty pleasure, but boy, it’s got me hooked. Damon’s story is intriguing, and now we have some tantalizing new tidbits. I honestly think the Stefan/Elena story is the most boring part of the whole show.

Grey’s is much improved this year too. Is Teddy sticking around? I like her better with each episode.

Didn’t watch FF yet – saving that for the weekend.

The Mentalist started out awesome!! I was a little disappointed by the ending though.

Fringe just keeps getting better and better. I fully expected a rich mythology episode last night. What I got was so much more… an episode that dare I say caused the room to get a little dusty. Something completely unexpected given the character.

Office was was just ok. I’m not really liking Michael this season. He’s either someone doing something right despite his stupidity or he’s making me so uncomfortable that I have to hide behind a pillow. But Dwight? Still killing me every single week. He’s batting 1.000.

Supernatural was excellent. Very strong performances by supporting cast Mark Pelligrino as Lucifer, Samantha Ferris and Alona Tal as Ellen and Jo Harvelle and the always wonderful Jim Beaver as Bobby.Rachel Minor (sp?) as Demon!Meg had great chemistry w/ Misha Collin’s Castiel.
I don’t want to spoil folks who may not have watched their DVRs yet, but it was an emotionally charged episode — one of the strongest of the series.

VD keeps getting better and better! I can’t wait, though, for Katherine to come back!!
Supernatural = great. One of the best of the season and not because of Sam and Dean.
