Say What? Our TV Quote of the Day!

“In the relationship game, either way, heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, any sexuality, he [Sheldon] has said ‘This is not for me. I’m a scientist. All I’m interested in is science and what George Lucas does’,” explained THE BIG BANG THEORY co-executive producer Chuck Lorre when asked about the realistic possibility of a Sheldon and Penny relationship during today’s Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena.

Wow, that makes me a bit sad. I’ve been crossing my fingers..

Sheldon and Penny work best as friendly adversaries. They don’t understand why the other person behaves the way they do, they annoy one another, but at the same time they’ve grown to care for each other as friends. I love their interaction.

I’m so glad he finally spoke out about this! I can’t understand why anyone would want Sheldon to suddenly be anything but asexual, especially with someone like Penny. That would have ruined the show.

Agree, Sheldon is best without all the romantic stuff but I love his interaction with Penny,it works without even a romantic tension so let it be

I beg to differ. Sheldon’s affections for Leonard’s mom definitely seemed a bit more than asexual.

I personally think watching Penny and Sheldon (slowly) get together would do wonders for both characters.

I think he’s more of a child in a sense than asexual, he graduated college at what 11? He didn’t have a normal life and still thinks girls have cooties or something.

And look what we have now.
Whatever anyone says, I’m still waiting for Shenny.
