On Newstands Now: The TV Addict Week in Review

Inspired by Movieline and in anticipation of the soon-to-be-released Apple iPad that will more than likely signal the beginning of the end for traditional print media, this TV Addict thought it might be fun to start highlighting a look back on the week in television that was in nostalgic magazine form (And yes, we realize we may have a just little too much free time on our hands!)

This week on theTVaddict.com we asked where DOLLHOUSE went wrong, made UGLY BETTY’s Michael Urie and Becki Newton an offer they can’t refuse, took you inside the 100th episode celebration of BONES, offered up five questions we’d like to see LOST answer in its final season, and interviewed VAMPIRE DIARIES star Ian Somerhalder and PARKS AND RECREATION funny man Aziz Ansari.

    Dear Steve Jobs,

Please tell me why I’d ever waste $500 of my hard-earned money in a failing economy so that you can attempt to “end traditional print media” careers? Give me an orange over an apple any day.

  • Nick,

To offer up a counter opinion, depending on how newspapers and magazines react, the iPad could SAVE the careers of many traditional print journos. I’m ready and waiting for EW to release a digital subscription so that the new issue will be readily available on my iPhone/iPad each and every week.

It makes me sad to think in a few years there won’t be print magazines. Guess it is a good thing that I didn’t rely on that print journalism degree.
