This Just In: FAMILY GUY Gets the Last Laugh

In what we can only imagine was a direct response to THE SIMPSONS capping off their 450th episode with the following message, “Thanks for 20 wonderful years. Now stay tuned for three Seth MacFarlane shows,” get a load of last night’s closing credits of FAMILY GUY. THE SIMPSONS, it’s your move.

I’m having an off day, I think you’ll have to explain this one.

  • Mario

    ^ what he said.

  • Kimberly

those are the simpson’s closing credits, being used to close family guy.

  • I still don’t get it

  • Not exactly hilarious, or a good-humored dig at The Simpsons. Then again, I never cared for Family Guy.

  • Dave

I think a funnier dig(if that’s what it was) was quagmire killing all the simpsons after homer walking in on him and marge together. Long time fan of both shows but Simpsons is just not what it used to be.

  • nkinsey,
Definitely not hilarious, but wouldn’t it be interesting if the two shows started a credit war of sorts.

  • True. Keep us in the loop.

Still think The Simpsons was funnier, since it was a VERY true statement.

  • LOVE your site, by the way.

  • nkinsey,
Thanks for the kind words. Will definitely keep you in the loop.

I hope this becomes the new running gag between the two shows

Sounds like Matt Groening is just jealous that FOX greenlighted three of MacFarlane’s shows because they’re interesting, edgy, popular, and comical when the Simpsons is becoming somewhat of a dried up turd of a TV show. At least Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and American Dad dare to push the envelope and go places most shows don’t have the balls to. I still watch Family Guy, I’ve grown tired of the Simpsons. Matt Groening needs to grow up and end his trainwrecked show.

I laugh more watching Family guy than watching the Simpsons but I think the Simpsons is the best show because of the subjects it deals with and the richer types of humour. Now how could U ask cartoons writers to grow up?!!
