Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Fandoms Who Have It Far Worse Than Chuck & Sarah Shippers!

Last week at this time, the internet was abuzz with disappointed CHUCK fans simply steaming over the latest plot development that had Chuck and Sarah exploring relationships with Hannah (special guest stars Kristin Kreuk) and Agent Shaw (special guest star Brandon Routh) respectively. So much so that co-creators Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak took the time to reach out to fans (via Alan Sepinwall’s blog) in an effort to ask them to be patient. A sentiment we thought we’d echo in Today’s TV Addict Top 5, which highlights five fandoms who have it far worse than Chuck and Sarah shippers. Seriously. Putting aside the obvious fact that relationship obstacles are pretty much par-for-the-course when it comes to primetime television, and factoring in the strike shortened first season, Chuck and Sarah have only been doing the whole will-they-or-won’t-they thing for a mere forty-two episodes. Two seasons, which is far less than the 21 that Lenny and Carl have been waiting for the two ‘confirmed bachelors’ to realize they’re meant for one another. Think about it!

    How about Kate and Sawyer?

I am 100% chuck + sarah. love them. I think Josh Schwartz and the rest of the people at Chuck have done a great job of keeping the sexual tension fresh. The whole thing when they run away and they were at the seedy motel and it was abot to happen.. was great. just enough. I’m scared that if they do get together it could fall apart. E.g. moonlighting. Bruce and Cybil hooked up and it was done. they was some background stuff too but nonetheless…

I di however believe that the writers of Chuck more than any other show could do something great and keep the show alive with chuck and sarah together. hopefully.

    either way we will see…

Yeah, I don’t know why everyone was so upset either. Usually the two main characters getting together is the death of a good show.

I’ll add Chloe/Clark shippers to your list. Those guys are crazy. I stopped watching Smallville a while ago, so I don’t really know what is going on, but have those guys never seen the comics/tv shows/movies where Clark/Lois always end up together?

I was on set for episode 14 and Chuck and Sarah are married.

  • Hil

I am not worried about Chuck and Sarah. It seems pretty clear they will eventually get there. Maybe once Chuck grows up a little bit more. It still feels like robbing the cradle as far as the power balance between the two IMO. And if he keeps falling for every pretty thing that walks into the Buy More I can’t blame her for looking elsewhere too for now.

  • LOL! Nice one, Daniel!

P.S. For Sneezy: I was on set for episode 16 and Chuck’s in an insane asylum. I guess married life doesn’t agree with him.

Dude, add in Clark & Chloe fans – 9 years & still waiting! They deserve some payoff! Smallville is a freakin AU & Chloe’s far better than Bimboville for Clark!

  • I don’t think any “shippers” have ever had it tougher than Gilmore Girls fans. That show went to enormous lengths to avoid Moonlighting Syndrome, even into the very last season. Eventually, Luke & Lorelai should have gotten together & stayed together.

Here! Here! Chuck shippers should seriously take a chill pill 🙂

Chuck is the best show on TV right now! The writing is creative and original. The tension is excellent. In the most recent episode we saw a lot of character development. I have total faith in Josh and Chris, they have done a great job so far and I’m going to stick with it to see Chuck and Sarah get together.
