First Look: Love is in the Air for UGLY BETTY’s Justin and Betty!

ugly betty spoilers

On the March 17th edition of UGLY BETTY, love is in the air. Specifically for Justin, who depending on your interpretation of the episode log-line: “Finds himself in an unexpected triangle with his new pals Austin and Lily,” may-or-may-not-be making good on creator Silvia Horta’s promise that Justin’s sexuality will be addressed prior to the end of the series. Meanwhile, in more definitive relationship news is Betty, who finds herself very smitten with a cool young playwright Zachary (GOSSIP GIRL’s Aaron Tveit) who she’s set to profile for Mode. More very spoilerific photos of which can be found after the jump.

come on Betty is almost over can we get some Detty finally

  • jess,
For the record, I’m 100000% against Daniel and Betty ending up together. The show was always at its worst when it focused on Betty’s personal life. For me the show’s always been about Betty balancing her two worlds (family + mode). Finger’s crossed she takes a page from Kelly Taylor and chooses “me” (and by “me” i mean her!)

  • *dies from the Tveit-ness*

I am 1 MILLION% with the TVAddict. I absolutely despise the idea of Betty and Daniel together. That’s like putting a brother and sister in a relationship, even worse than George/Izzie on Grey’s.

I wouldn’t hate seeing Betty end up with Henry or Matt, but her being independent at the end of the series is probably the best option.

Fully behind you guys who are AGAINST Betty/Daniel… there is NO romantic chemistry there at all, and no reason at all why Daniel would want to be with Betty or why Betty would want to be with Daniel… Forcing them together would be just wrong, and thankfully, I think (hope) the producers realise this too!!

A Betty “Single Ladies” Beyonce style ending would be the perfect ending for Ugly Betty!!

BTW, Yay for more Justin/sexuality… the guy he crushed on last season was played out so cute, shame they never followed up on that…

  • Nick

Who’s the guy in the blue jacket?

  • TVFan

    Nick,
    Justin’s love interest?

    Tim,
Agreed. Tviet over Christopher Gorham anyday

  • I love the idea of Daniel/Betty. Plus that’s how the original novela ended.

  • John

Unless I’m remembering wrong, Justin told his mom when he accepted the tiara that he wasn’t gay. Since it’s almost done, I guess continuity doesn’t matter at all.

  • John are you really going to begrudge fans their happily ever after for the sake of continuity?!

  • Irish Joe

John, Justin IS gay, he is just having trouble coming out to his mom… something all of us gay boys are used to…

  • Sam

John, this storyline actually ensures continuity. It’s all in the way that they’re choosing to show the process of a kid coming out to his mom. He wasn’t ready before, but now he is.

  • John

I guess I don’t understand because there’s no real reason for Justin to hide it from his mom since she’s insanely supportive of everything he does. Plus, if she doesn’t already know, then, to quote Karen regarding Jack’s mom, “What is she, headless?”

  • Alvin L

    John ,

It is not about his mother – he was humiliated by the football team (or whoever) in front of the whole school because they thought he was gay. It takes time for a kid that age to admit that he is gay, and be ready to take on the bulllies of the workd! Hell, it took me until 23 years old!!
