Like the calm before the proverbial storm that is the flurry of May season and series finales, April may not be the most exciting month to be a TV Addict, but it certainly does have its fair share of notable events. And to ensure you don’t miss the UGLY BETTY series finale, premiere of HBO’s TREME and the much-anticipated return of PARTY DOWN, ONE TREE HILL and that little singing show on FOX, we humbly suggest you download are April TV Calendar. Channel Surfing with CT: MODERN FAMILY, COUGAR TOWN, MADDOW & More!
While I’m sure a choir of naysayers will disagree, last night’s MODERN FAMILY was an excellent example of product placement done right. What made it work was the organic nature of the storytelling as opposed to the clunky placements favored by such reality shows as SURVIVOR or CELEBRITY APPRENTICE. From day one, we’ve known that Phil is a techhead, making it natural that he — like millions of other geeks out there — would be majorly psyched about the iPad. But instead of just having him talk up the product, an entire plot — including Claire once again failing in her attempt to be the perfect wife and Mitchell getting into a fight with a line-cutter — was build around it. More importantly, the show never lost track of its primary objectives, which are to be funny and entertaining.
Why can’t every network just get on board the hulu.com bandwagon? The CW recently announced they’re going to begin running more ads during episodes viewed on their website which would be fine and dandy if it weren’t for the fact that their portal kinda sucks.

Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Reasons Why You MUST Tune into Tonight’s Return of FRINGE!
The episode doesn’t waste a moment.
When we last left FRINGE, Olivia had finally discovered what fans of the show had known since May’s season finale. Namely, there is a very good reason why Peter doesn’t quite fit into our universe. Thus, when FRINGE returns tonight — following that is a cold open unlike anything you’ve seen before (trust us!), Walter will sit down and reveal to Olivia the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding Peter’s journey from over there. No [April Fool’s] joke we swear, appropriately titled “Pete,” tonight’s episode is far and away the series finest hour to date.
It’s Walterpalooza!
Because no Peter origin story would be complete without a trip to the alternate universe, tonight’s episode will not only provide fans with their first glimpse of the “Walternate,” but a younger pre-institutionalized version of the Walter we’ve come to know and love. “It’s quite interesting having played Walter twenty-five years younger he’s actually quite a likeable man,” teased actor John Noble on our recent visit to the set of FRINGE. “He’s married to a wonderful woman, seems to enjoy his what he does and is driven to succeed working with the army. Unfortunately, he does make choices and makes that one error.”
Exclusive: Gilmore Girls to Reunite on PARENTHOOD
Taking the GILMORE GIRLS theme song to heart, where Lauren Graham leads, Alexis Bledel will follow.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that in an effort to reverse the increasingly-depressing ratings that have plagued NBC’s highly-touted (not to mention extremely costly) dramedy PARENTHOOD, series creator Jason Katims and executive producer Ron Howard have agreed to give the Braverman family a little facelift by replacing Sarah’s daughter played by Mae Whitman with… wait for it… Alexis Bledel!
For those unfamiliar with the show — or a little slow on the uptake — that means Bledel and Lauren Graham will once again be playing mother and daughter.
