“If it’s true that NBCU’s Jeff Zucker is actually going to take a buyout, then the TV version of the BP oil spill just got capped.” tweeted the country’s preeminent TV critic Tim Goodman with regards to the very welcome news that the man responsible for many of NBC’s current programming woes is poised to finally leave NBC Universal.

Ask the Addict: Spoilers for TRUE BLOOD, GLEE, LIE TO ME & More!
Because waiting until the June 13 premiere, for lack of a better word SUCKS, I’m gonna need some TRUE BLOOD scoop! — Marlee
The TV Addict: Okay, here’s the deal. Despite having already had the pleasure of sinking our teeth into the first three episodes of the new season, we are not the least bit interested in spoiling one of the summer’s true delights that is BLOOD’s trademark oh-no-they-didn’t-just-do-that moments by revealing, say… the circumstances surrounding Eric and Sookie’s first face-to-face of the season! What we will say is that creator Alan Ball may have spent a little too much time during his hiatus online because one particular scene from the premiere reads as if it was ripped directly from some very dirty wishful fan fiction.
As an enormous fan of the books, I’m counting down the days until the premiere of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS. Have you seen the pilot? And if so, what did you think? — Madison
The TV Addict: ABC’s Family’s newest summer offering is GOSSIP GIRL, meets Cruel Intentions with a dash of I Know What You Did Last Summer thrown in for good measure. Better still, complete with scantily clad teenagers, sexy British imports, and copious amounts of scandal (You would not believe what PRIVILEGED alum Lucy Hale does with a teacher. Seriously. JoAnna Garcia would not approve!), PRETTY LITTLE LIARS — which premieres June 8 at 8PM — is well on its way to becoming our official choice for this summer’s guiltiest pleasure.
Must Read TV: Jason Priestley, Jason Patrick, Donald Glover & More!
• In: 90210’s Jason Priestley joins SCOUNDRELS.
• Out: Liz Vassey exits CSI.
• Signed: Jason Patric joins HBO’s TILDA.

• Interesting: Could COMMUNITY star Donald Glover play Spider-Man?
Good News, Bad News: Charlie Sheen, J.J. Abrams & Jerry Seinfeld
Good News: Charlie Sheen is going to jail! Bad News: His 30 day sentence, which is expected to be reduced to 15-17 days for good behaviour, will in no way interrupt production of the upcoming season of TWO AND A HALF MEN. [Source]
Good News: The first twenty pages of J.J. Abrams highly-anticipated new NBC series UNDERCOVERS has been spotted online. Bad News: We can’t read Italian. [Source]
Good News: Jerry Seinfeld is headed to Broadway. Bad News: Make that off-Broadway, were he’ll not so much perform, but to direct Colin Quinn’s one man show. [Source]

First Look: The Boys of Summer are Back
As evidence by this just released poster promoting the show’s return, the new season of ENTOURAGE didn’t exactly get the TRUE BLOOD treatment. As such, our fingers remain crossed that this somewhat uninspired poster for the new season isn’t any indication of what’s to come. We’re just sayin’
The CW Gets its End of Season Report Card
Good Moves: After countless seasons that culminated with the inexplicable cancelation of some of our favorite shows (R.I.P: PRIVILEGED and JACK & BOBBY), the CW network finally threw fans of quality television a bone by renewing the critically adored LIFE UNEXPECTED for a second season. Not so unexpected was the audiences seemingly insatiable appetite for all things Vampire, resulting in the fledgling network’s first bonafide breakout hit in THE VAMPIRE DIARIES (Note: By CW standards, “bonafide breakout hit” translates to about 4 million viewers). Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the rest of the CW’s new offerings, which brings us to the…
Bad Moves: There was very little to ‘talk, text and tweet” about with regards to the Ashton Kutcher produced BEAUTIFUL LIFE, which after a splashy ad campaign, quickly fizzed. Also falling into the category of ‘bad,’ was the the way in which the CW’s target demo summarily rejected the guilty pleasure that was the now defunct MELROSE PLACE reboot. And from bad to ugly, lest we forget the budget-conscious network’s biggest blunder: Scheduling. Seriously. Just how any Network can expect to build audience awareness after benching shows for weeks on end in lieu of repeats of AMERICA’s NEXT TOP MODEL we’ll never understand.
