NBC Gets Less Colorful

In a disappointing, albeit somewhat expected turn of events, NBC has just zapped a whole lotta color from their “more colurful” motto by opting not to pick up UNDERCOVERS for a back-nine, effectively cancelling the lowly rated J.J. Abrams series.

Bad television transcends all color. 🙂

I was thinking the exact same thing. I’m all for diversity on TV, but I’ll take it in the form of good TV like Community.

maybe BET will pick it up

  • While I agree with both Ace and lipslikeasukal that some much needed diversity in NBC’s leadling players is by no means reason enough to keep a show alive, I for one was intrigued as to where the show was going after reading a reason interview on TVguide.com with EP Josh Reims: http://www.tvguide.com/News/Undercovers-Boris-Kodjoe-1025017.aspx

I think my problem with the show was too fundamental to be fixed by an interesting back story. The two leads are very attractive, but had ZERO chemistry. The show had potential, but something just didn’t work.

This is no shock. I called it when the show was first announced. The only surprise is that it’s made it on the air thus far.

I really enjoyed the show. While it wasn’t great, it kept me entertained. Really bummed out that it’s cancelled. I’m probably the only one though….lol
