    imagine wrestling.

  • Now I watch ZERO shows on Syfy. They seem to not want me as a viewer between getting rid of Caprica and SGU. I’m going to take the hint.

I’m very bummed out and ticked off about SGU being cancelled. It wasn’t the best show ever, and it had its flaws, but it’s still Stargate, it had potential, and it had been steadily improving lately.

I wasn’t as surprised or disappointed with Caprica. It was a great looking show, but the story & characters had gone downhill fast in only one season. At least SGU was getting better and had some characters who were becoming likable instead of going the other way.

I know both were rated low, but I figured surely they wouldn’t cancel both. And, I don’t understand why they didn’t try moving one or both back to Friday. That’s the death slot for most shows, but sometimes, sci-fi, especially on Syfy, can make it there.

For what I think is the first time in a long time, we have no more space-based sci-fi. Very depressing. The only thing that could make me feel better about this is if J. Michael Straczynski were to announce in 2011 that there’s a new Babylon 5 series on the way. That would make my year.

Warehouse 13 and Eureka are both kinda scifi but SyFy is just another verison of USA now and its a good channel even without the scifi

Dear SyFy: Why do you even exist now? SGU wasn’t “up your alley?” Goodbye viewers, I guess.

Wow, I liked this show. A really good sci-fi drama. It got me out of my post-Battlestar Galactica depression.
