Good News, Bad News: 90210, THE WEST WING & NBC

Good News: After almost three seasons of adding virtually nothing to the show, Deb Wilson (Lori Loughlin), one of the remaining vestiges from what will surely go down in history as television’s most poorly conceived nuclei is exiting 90210 at the end of the season alongside Mr. Matthews (Ryan Eggold). Bad News: Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Dixon (Tristan Wilds) Wilson will not be joining them. [Source]

Good News: Bradley Whitford is reuniting with a WEST WING co-star. Bad News: Not on Aaron Sorkin’s much-buzzed about Cable News Project over on HBO, but rather on USA’s IN PLAIN SIGHT. [Source]

Good News: NBC has ordered pilots from funny ladies Chelsea Handler and Whitney Cummings. Bad News: For OUTSOURCED! Well, that and unlike Cummings, Handler won’t actually be starring on her own show, despite it being inspired by her best-selling book Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea. [Source]

Lori’s great…loved her on Summerland. But both and casting and early stories on 90210 were awful. How do you screw up something that badly? Only the additions of Liam, Ivy & her mother, Oscar and (old man) Teddy have begun to make up for the casting issues. Ryan and Lori and Rob were just not a fit here from the start.
