GLEE! GAME OF THRONES! LAW & ORDER: SVU! The TV Addict Week in Rewind
Best Return: VH1 announced they’d ordered 60 new episodes of the classic show POP UP VIDEO. (Wait, do people still make videos?)
Best Send-Off: While one never relishes seeing a talented actor such as Harry Lloyd loses the job security that comes with nabbing a role on a high profile cable series like GAME OF THRONES, if you gotta go… you might as well go in unforgettable fashion at the not-so-understanding hands of Khal Drogo. RIP Viserys Targaryen.
Worst Send-Off: If the idea behind GLEE’s Big Apple [Mis]-Adventure was to ensure fans wouldn’t miss the show while it’s off on summer hiatus, well, mission accomplished.
Most Embarrassing Display: One week into filming in Italy, the cast of JERSEY SHORE have already proved themselves to be the very definition of ugly Americans.

Faux Your Emmy® Consideration: CASTLE
With the 2011 Emmy® nominations just around the corner, theTVaddict.com continues our “Faux Your Emmy® Consideration” series of ads (Also known as our take on how Networks and Studios might wish to consider campaigning for 2011 Emmy® nominations on behalf of their shows and actors) by shining the spotlight on a show that will very likely see little to no Emmy love: CASTLE.
Simply put, if acting like you have yet to succumb to the charm that is Nathan Fillion isn’t worthy of recognition, we’re not sure what is!
Editor’s Note: Giving credit where credit is due, the “Faux Your Emmy Consideration” title was the brainchild of Twitter Follower @WriterWarrior
Ask the Addict: Spoilers for ENTOURAGE, GENERAL HOSPITAL, WEEDS & More!
If my Twitter feed is any indication, a slew of lucky TV types have already been given the opportunity to check out at least some of Fall’s new offerings. Are you one of the lucky ones, and if so, what our your thoughts thus far? — Mike
The TV Addict: Seeing as though we were only granted access to a select number of Fall pilots under the strict condition that we were not allowed to “review” them (Cue Boilerplate: Episodes were provided for planning purposes only. NOT FOR REVIEW. Episodes are rough cuts that contain temporary picture, graphics, audio and music) our thoughts on what is already shaping up to be a far more exciting September than its predecessor will unfortunately have to wait. Well, except to say one thing that we’re fairly confident the proverbial powers that be won’t mind us spilling: When it comes to shows that may-or-may-not star Emily Van Camp, Sarah Jones and Jennifer Morrison, we are already counting down the days until we can find out what happens next.
Any scoop on ENTOURAGE’s final season? — Alison
The TV Addict: Suffice it to say, after last season’s drug bust, Vince’s career won’t be the only thing going up in flames. So much so that your very own TV Addict has just learned that the gang’s not-so-humble abode will be going up in smoke thanks to a incredibly irresponsible amphibian named Turtle. Oh, and that’s not the only thing heating up this summer. According to sources, one gang member’s hard-partying ways may come back to haunt them in the form of a bun in the oven. But will it serve as the wake up call Vince needs to turn his life around? Stay tuned…

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE? Dance to This!
While you’re busy setting your DVR for the new season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (which begins tonight on Fox), you could do worse for background music than BALLROOM REMIXED, a new album of rumbas and sambas and such that’s just been released by sometime SYTYCD choreographer Melanie LaPatin.
“We’re always using pop songs on the show — you know, hits,” says the hoofer, who won more than 100 championship titles during her career in competition. “So it gave me an idea. I always need new music, for productions and whatever, so I thought, ‘Hey, why not get some of my musical friends to create some original songs for me?’ And they came through like gangbusters!”
The result is anything but “strictly ballroom.” But — as performed by singers from around the world (Lee Latchford Evans, late of the crazy-successful English quintet Steps; “German Idol” alum Linda Teodosiu; American teen queen Kaya) — it IS a lotta fun.
“That’s really the point,” says LaPatin, newly christened “Lady Cha-Cha” by her cohorts. “Let’s get people having a good time and moving, and thinking about ballroom dance. None of these songs may be traditional tangos or whatever, but I’d be willing to bet you’ll for sure remember them!”
