Most Soup-Ready: Every word out of the mouth of BACHELOR PAD’s Kasey seems ready to be spoofed, mocked and/or lampooned by Joel McHale of THE SOUP. “People don’t realize, like, the struggles, the inner struggles I go through on a daily basis,” he said this week. “But my brain adapts. It goes a thousand miles a minute.” We’re sure it does, buddy. We’re sure it does. (Yet, somehow it never told you not to sing?)
Smartest Move Ever: In preparation for THE GOOD WIFE’s third-season premiere, CBS will air a 30-minute special on Sunday, September 4, that’s designed to catch-up new, lapsed or forgetful viewers on the story so far. We think every show should do this to help burn up some of the programming hours filled with reruns. (Plus, it makes for a great DVD extra!)
Worst Make-Over: FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is now well and truly over, as evidenced by the fact that Taylor Kitsch cut his hair. Sob. [Read more…]

Who Killed TORCHWOOD? A Look At How The Popular Sci-Fi Show Has Lost Its Way
After last week’s controversial episode of TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY, the question that haunted us was not whether it was okay to torture a man to death if he cannot die, but rather: who killed TORCHWOOD? For a show that fans had been clamoring for and which cheered when it was announced that it had risen from certain death and cancellation by the joint financial efforts of Starz and BBC America to resurrect it as an American television series, who knew that within such a short timeframe that one would be wishing it had never been raised from the dead.
The irony is that TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY tells the tale of what the world would look like if death ceased to exist. Miracle Day was the day that people stopped dying. Death had finally abandoned us and left the entire human race to rot for eternity. The blessing soon became a curse and TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY sought to show how horrifying never-ending life can be.
But with only 10 episodes granted for this miraculous fourth season of TORCHWOOD, and seven episodes having aired to date, I found myself thinking something appalling: I wish it had never come back. [Read more…]

Ask the Addict: Spoilers for THE BIG BANG THEORY, DEGRASSI, BONES, FRINGE & More!
As somewhat of a socially-awkward nerdy-type myself, I would love to know about the future of Penny and Raj on THE BIG BANG THEORY. Statistically speaking, what would you say their chances of working out are? — Kevin
The TV Addict: Okay, here’s the thing. The first thing you should know about the TV Addict, is that if we had even the slightest smidgen of talent in the department of mathematics, we would not be sitting at our desk this morning writing about television. Secondly, Raj and Penny’s future romantic prospects during the upcoming fifth season of THE BIG BANG THEORY is what we would call a classic good news/bad news situation. On the bad news front: All evidence is pointing to Penny and Raj not living happily ever after. But, before you bury your head in World of Warcraft for the three days, we’ve got — you guessed it — some good news for you. The friendship forged courtesy of their unexpected night of passion during May’s season finale looks to be leading towards Penny introducing Raj to his ideal match. Which is to say, fans should brace themselves for the arrival a beautiful love interest for Raj who, in a twist befitting the brilliance of the BIG BANG THEORY, won’t require the not-so-talkative Raj to strike up a verbal conversation because…. drumroll please… she’s deaf! We Shine the Spotlight on the Host of ABC’s EXPEDITION IMPOSSIBLE Dave Salmoni
As the first season of EXPEDITION IMPOSSIBLE comes to a close, and after a season filled with danger, disaster and displays of remarkable courage, host Dave Salmoni reflects back on what made this season so special for him. With both the good and the difficult marking this past season, Dave thought that, for him, what made the whole adventure so extraordinary was sharing the experience with everyone. He explained that the greatest part of it was, “It was like a big camping trip with my friends — that it was my job was a bonus! I felt like I was camping in the mountains. The contestants were great and I enjoyed becoming friends with them. And the crew, they were my type of people. We had a great time!” [Read more…]
