Emmy Predictions 2011: Outstanding Drama Series

In anticipation of the upcoming 63rd Annual EMMY Awards (Airing Sunday September 18th at 8PM on FOX, CTV in Canada) theTVaddict.com is proud [or not-so-proud depending on how things turn out] to once again present our GUARANTEED EMMY WINNERS 2011*

NOMINEES: BOARDWALK EMPIRE, DEXTER, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, GAME OF THRONES, THE GOOD WIFE, MAD MEN

SHOULD WIN: THE GOOD WIFE
Since we have a feeling that in the case of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, it really was just an honor to be nominated, we’d like to think that the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences might take at least one opportunity to celebrate a big-old-fashioned breakout hit on broadcast television.

WILL WIN: BOARDWALK EMPIRE
Despite the fact that MAD MEN has walked away a winner from this category for the past three years, one has a sneaking suspicion that angry voters might look to reward the equally outstanding BOARDWALK EMPIRE as penance for creator Matthew Weiner’s very public, not to mention, incredibly lucrative contract negotiation that took place earlier in the year.

SNUBBED: The FX Network
SONS OF ANARCHY… JUSTIFIED… DAMAGES… need we say more?

*theTVaddict.com does not guarantee his “winning picks.” Do not, I repeat, Do not bet the house, kids or family pet on them!

  • I’m on a Game of Thrones high after watching the whole season twice and reading all five books back to back.

Then comes FNL, The Good Wife and Dexter.I didn’t feel Boardwalk Empire achieved brilliance, but they’ll still reward it.I’m behind on my Mad Men.
Breaking Bad would have deserved to win if it had aired earlier.
