It’s Official: Chord Overstreet is Returning to GLEE

Remember when Ryan Murphy boldly promised that this current third season of GLEE was going to feature a refocus on the show’s core cast, promising that — and we quote — “We’re not going to have any guest stars.” Well, what he probably meant was we’re not going to have any new guest stars. For following the recent return of Idina Menzel’s Shelby Corcoran comes the official announcement from Fox that Chord Overstreet will return to McKinley High as underdog Sam Evans for a multi episode arc beginning this December.

“We love Chord and have always said that we wanted him back,” said Ryan Murphy, executive producer and co-creator of GLEE. “So here’s an early Christmas present for all the Gleeks—Sam is coming back to McKinley, and just in time for sectionals!”

For his part, recent MIDDLE co-star Overstreet couldn’t be more excited, adding, “”I had the best time on GLEE and couldn’t be more excited to be returning.”

GLEE returns with new episodes on Tuesday November 1st at 8PM FOX (Global TV in Canada and stars Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Harry Shum Jr. and Darren Criss.
