We Shine the Spotlight on PERSON OF INTEREST Star Kevin Chapman
When talking to star Kevin Chapman about his role as Detective Lionel Fusco on PERSON OF INTEREST, one thing becomes quickly clear: he loves every second working on one of primetimes’ hottest new TV shows. Sharing what drew him to the show initially, Kevin did not hesitate to mention it was the high caliber of creators, writers and co-actors that made it so appealing for him. Truth be told, it has become a dream job for him and he feels excited each time he gets a new script. In fact, each episode reads like a page-turning mystery story and he is utterly thrilled to find himself right smack in the middle of it. To work on a show where there is this nearly omnipresent machine that generates numbers corresponding to a person whose life is on the line, is like working in the Land of Oz — and our heroes take turns being the man behind the curtain to save those people’s lives that have entered the cross-hairs of fate. PERSON OF INTEREST is a wonderful twist on the classic police procedure with an embedded fairytale element woven in. [Read more…]
BURN NOTICE Redux: Now That’s How You End a Season!
By: Jeffrey Kirkpatrick
Judging by the weekly ratings, it is apparent that for most shows to have a measurable shelf life these days, they have to follow a formula. After-all, the bulk of the TV watching population doesn’t want to get bogged down in details, so just keep it to the status quo, entertain them for an hour or so, and move on.
Unfortunately for those of us who enjoy creativity and storytelling at its finest, this can lead to hours of some painfully routine and uninspired television. Occasionally, though, even a show that follows a relatively rigid, paint-by-numbers format like USA Network’s spy series BURN NOTICE can toss a hefty curve ball at you. Consider last night’s powerful season five finale which had Michael going for broke against Anson, his ultimate nemesis and the man who burned him. [Read more…]

REVENGE First Look: “Duress”
Do you already find yourself going through REVENGE withdrawal following last week’s fantastic midseason finale? Well, perhaps this unexpected invitation to a party will cheer you up. On January 4th 2012 the fine folks at ABC invite you to join in the celebration commemorating the birth of Daniel Grayson during an intimate beachfront gathering with friends, family, and one very unwelcome guest. Ask the Addict: Spoilers for NIKITA, BONES, GENERAL HOSPITAL, HAPPY ENDINGS & More!
Dying for some NIKITA intel after the recent doozy of a midseason finale. Any clues as to what happens next? — Dakota
The TV Addict: While we don’t pretend to have any viable intel on the mother of all twists that went down in the most recent episode, we can report that all signs are pointing to Nikita doing a little soul searching in the New Year. And by soul searching, we of course mean confronting the sole woman who may-or-may-not be able to shed some light on Nikita’s long-awaited “origin story!” An origin story which in typical NIKITA fashion will come complete with flashbacks to an underground rehab clinic, murder, Mexico, plenty of gunplay, and some guy named Percy.
Now that BONES is back in production, care to share the name of Booth and Brennan’s baby? — Jane
The TV Addict: As much as we would absolutely love to reveal the name of Booth and Brennan’s baby. our love of staying on creator Hart Hanson’s good side wins the day yet again. Thus, in lieu of any actual information we hope you’ll forgive us for this highly ambiguous tease: Lifelong loyal BONES fan should already know the name of Booth and Brennan’s baby. And yes, now would be your cue to guess away in the comments below. [Read more…]

The HFPA Announces their 2012 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD Nominees and We’ve Got Your Good, Bad & Ugly!
The Good: Despite our many many (seriously, emphasis on the many) problems with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s (HFPA) nominees for the 69th ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS, there are, as always, a few reasons for us to cheer. Those reasons include some much-deserved recognition for PARKS AND RECREATION’s Amy Poehler, GAME OF THRONES’ Peter Dinklage and HOMELAND’s leading players Claire Danes and Damian Lewis. Also falling under the category of ‘good’ is a shout out to Madeline Stowe’s deliciously-evil, err… we mean unfortunately misunderstood turn as Grayson matriarch Victoria on REVENGE and Johnny Galecki, whose somewhat subdued performance on THE BIG BANG THEORY far too often gets forgotten amidst the heightened hilarity of his supporting cast.
