The dark fantasy series ONCE UPON A TIME dares to retell all the classic fairytales in ways that we never imagined. It recently revealed its twisty-turn on the Red Riding Hood tale, by revealing that Red is the big, bad wolf. It also showed us that “beast” from the Beauty & Beast story could indeed be the all-powerful and cursed Rumplestiltskin whose true love, Belle, was stolen from him. It also dared to envision that Snow White was a badass heroine and Prince Charming was an imposter brought in to keep peace between kingdoms. Then in a fanciful turn, it also explained why Grumpy of the Snow White and Seven Dwarves is “grumpy” and no longer “dreamy.” Embedded throughout all these reimagined tales is the belief that one over-riding curse enacted by the Evil Queen in responsible for erasing everyone’s memories of their former lives and it has now forced them to live eternally-captive in the town of Storybrooke, Maine. Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Questions with GCB Star David James Elliott
For those of you who dismissed GCB as little more than DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES in Dallas, we’ve got two words for you: Look closer. Despite a handful of similarities, GCB — which chronicles the deliciously fun lives of what some might call a little-too-tight-knit Texas community — is anything but. Which is to say, unlike its lead in which continues to limp to its long-awaited conclusion, GCB is a whole lotta fun. And a big part of the reason is the you-have-to-see-it-to-believe-it marriage between Kristin Chenoweth’s Carlene and David James Elliott’s Ripp Cockburn. The latter of whom we recently caught up with to talk about all things GCB. See for yourself, after the jump. [Read more…]

Your First Look at DOCTOR WHO’s Newest Travelling Companion Jenna-Louise Coleman
Earlier this week, the name Jenna-Louise Coleman was immediately turned into a household one thanks to the announcement that she will be the new companion on DOCTOR WHO. Play TV Showrunner Madness 2012 (Round 3)
This just in: TV Showrunner Madness is not for the faint of heart. What started out as a field of 48 very deserving scribes has been whittled down to an elite 8 12. Which of course is where things get tricky.
Can you possibly choose between Dan Harmon or the dynamic duo of Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse? Does the brains behind the mother of all mysteries (HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER’s Carter Bays and Craig Thomas) have what it takes to take down the genius (REVENGE’s Mike Kelley) behind the mother of all mothers (REVENGE’s Victoria Grayson)? Does the brilliance of Aaron Sorkin even have a prayer when pitted up against the collective fandom that is the Whedonverse? Well, hold onto your hats folks because we’re about to find out.
Which is our way of saying that have until exactly the stroke of midnight (EST) on Tuesday March 27th to vote for your favorites (after the jump). So what are you waiting for, get voting! [Read more…]
