
NBC giveth and NBC taketh away.
Hot on the heels of yesterday’s flurry of activity, Networks continue to put a smile on the faces of fans of quality scripted television by picking up a handful of shows that were far from a sure thing. Which is to say, DON’T TRUST THE B—– and HAPPY ENDINGS will live to laugh another day thanks to a second and third season commitment from ABC. Not to be out done, NBC added a fourth season of PARKS AND RECREATION (22 episodes) and second season of both UP ALL NIGHT and WHITNEY (Episode numbers TBD).
Not so lucky were mid-season offerings including HARRY’S LAW, AWAKE, BEST FRIENDS FOREVER, BENT and ARE YOU THERE CHELSEA, all of which will got handed their pink slips today. More as the story develops. ![]()
