Recently discovered at this year’s Television Critic’s Association and immediately charmed by the comedic finesse with which David Feherty commanded even the most jaded of journalists, it impressed upon us at TheTVaddict.com that comedy is reaching across television boundaries and taking foothold on networks such as the Golf Channel. The FEHERTY show is a hilarious look at famous personalities, some in the golf-world and many from the broader entertainment world at large. The clips of David Feherty’s interviews with Samuel L. Jackson and former President Bill Clinton were glorious enticement enough to give this unexpected show a second look.
As any comedian can tell you, performing comedy is hard. Thus, it is an elusive quest to find just the right comedic voice and material to work with that will strike people’s funny-bones. Yet cleverly enough, David Feherty seems to have been born with the gift of comedy in his bones. More clever still was the Golf Channel snatching him up and showcasing his Scottish humor to everyone’s delight.
In a recent press call, David Feherty talked about his luck falling into his career and what other big name celebrities he will be chatting with in this next season of his show FEHERTY. [Read more…]

Promoting their new zany disaster film that spoofs all the classic disaster films, in a recent press conference call, executive producer Lisa Hansen and stars Greg Grunberg, Neil Grayston and Brad Dourif shared what brought them and this outrageous film all together, and all the fun they had working on it. Least Likely To Be In On A Joke: ABC’s Scranton affiliate won’t run an ad for the fictional Dunder Mifflin paper company during the Oscars because it doesn’t want to promote NBC’s THE OFFICE. You know, a show that’s about to end and therefore presents no future threat to their ratings?
Most Coveted Import: Forget those “reports” that Welsh hunk Tom Ellis was going to help DOWNTON ABBEY’s Lady Mary get over Matthew’s death. TVLine says that instead, he’ll be heading to the spook opera GOTHICA.
Best Flashback: Longtime GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers are thrilled that everything old is new again now that the show is revisiting the legendary Luke/Laura/Scott triangle.
Why We Are Terrible People: Fine, we’ll admit it… the Radaronline.com claim that THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS producers are working overtime to get LeAnn Rimes to join the cast (which would put the current Mrs. Eddie Cibrian on the same show as the former title holder whom he dumped for her) made us damn near giddy. Go ahead, sue us. (No wait, don’t, Adrianne Maloof!)
Most Awkward Twist: For the second time, SURVIVOR’s Francesca was the first person voted off by her tribe. (On the plus side, she at least got to hear Phillip pronounce her name correctly before leaving!) [Read more…]

Earlier this year I suggested ABC move NASHVILLE to Sunday. Many others far smarter than me also suggested it and there were rumors that ABC was considering it. ABC smartly didn’t do that. First of all their Sunday dramas have all come down this winter while facing big events (Golden Globes, AFC game, Grammys) and while tonally it would have been a great fit, it probably would have dropped itself. Plus ABC would have had to start over on Wed again and odds are whatever they put there wouldn’t garner the consistent numbers that NASHVILLE has. So they would have likely had two 10p slots that need fixing and it possibly would have damaged their one freshmen show that has carved out an audience. [Read more…]

Perhaps one of the toughest jobs in Hollywood is one where the actor doesn’t get to say a word. Yet extraordinarily, the young actor David Mazouz manages to convey so much through facial expressions and body language in his scenes that one never doubts what he is thinking or feeling. In the series TOUCH, David has the auspicious role of co-starring with Kiefer Sutherland in scenes where David’s character Jake Bohm does not say a single word.
But in TOUCH, the story of Martin and Jake Bohm has captivated viewers who are intrigued with the journey of the father and son as they play pawns in a master game of destiny – or perhaps as David suggests, Jake is more like the puppet-master directing their lives for a grander purpose. For the theme of TOUCH is recognizing that through mathematics and numbers how each and every person on the planet are interconnection. It’s like seeing “the Butterfly Effect” each week as small movements set off a chain of events affecting so many lives – and usually for the better.
In a recent exclusive interview, David Mazouz candidly shared what it is like playing the omniscient Jake and where Jake’s journey will lead him this season in TOUCH. [Read more…]
