We Shine the Spotlight on VIKINGS Star Katheryn Winnick
Having helped usher in the series premiere of VIKINGS with an interview with star Jessalyn Gilsig way back in February, we here at theTvaddict.com thought it was only fitting that on the eve of the hit History Channel’s first finale we would close out the season with a few words from the another star. Cue, the equally epic Katheryn Winnick, who during a recent one-on-one in Toronto shared what attracted her to the series, how it’s unlike anything she’s ever shot before and what it was like playing the original Teen Mom! See for yourself, after the jump. [Read more…]
THE GOOD WIFE Redux: A Trap Is Sprung
Perhaps there was no more heart-breaking moment on THE GOOD WIFE than in the 2nd season episode “Foreign Affairs” when Alicia (Julianna Margulies) found out that her estranged husband Peter (Chris Noth) had slept with her new best friend Kalinda (Archie Panjabi). We could just see the glass shattering around Alicia as her carefully constructed façade of control began to slip. With expediency that one can only marvel at, Alicia had the locks changed on her apartment, packed Peter’s things, and rented an apartment for him — all within hours of learning of his latest betrayal. Peter had betrayed her one last time and she was not going to take it anymore. [Read more…]

DOCTOR WHO Speculation: Driving The Doctor Mad
Four episodes into the travels with Clara Oswald (Jenna-Louise Coleman) and we have begun to notice a pattern with The Doctor (Matt Smith). He is frantically driven to try to protect Clara and yet simultaneously unravel the mystery “The Impossible Girl.” In the “Bells of Saint John,” The Doctor dashed to be at Clara’s side and then ferociously fought the Spoonheads to save her. In “The Rings of Akhaten,” The Doctor was challenged to show Clara something amazing costing her something precious in return. In “Cold War,” The Doctor negotiated with the deadly Skaldak to spare Clara and save Earth. And in “Hide,” The Doctor once again tries to find a way to subtly solve the mystery of Clara Oswald with the help of a psychic. [Read more…]

This Just In: The CW Orders THE ORIGINALS To Series, Renews BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and HART OF DIXIE
Continuing to take much of the suspense out of the upcoming annual UpFront in New York City — that pivotal period in mid-May when each of the five major Broadcast networks traditionally announce their new schedule for the following season — The CW Network announced today that THE VAMPIRE DIARIES spin-off will, as expected be ordered to series.
Also joining THE ORIGINALS on the schedule next season — aside that is from the already greenlit hit series such as ARROW, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and SUPERNATURAL — will be HART OF DIXIE and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST which were also given the go ahead for a third and second season respectively.
Not so lucky, were NIKITA and THE CARRIE DIARIES, two very deserving series that it would appear will have to wait until mid-May to find out their fates once The CW Network has had a chance to see how their currently in-development pilots have panned out. [Read more…]

Best Day Ever? NBC Renews REVOLUTION, PARENTHOOD, GRIMM & More!
Question: Why is the cast of NBC’s PARENTHOOD jumping for joy? Answer: Well, it probably has a little something to do with today’s announcement on behalf of NBC by President of Entertainment Jennifer Salke that the best show you’re probably not watching has just been renewed for a full twenty-two episode season in 2013-14. What’s more, the cast of PARENTHOOD isn’t the only one who has reason to be celebrating today. For joining one of the small screen’s best dramas is REVOLUTION, CHICAGO FIRE, GRIMM and LAW & ORDER: SVU. Full press release of which can be found after the jump. [Read more…]
GAME OF THRONES! GENERAL HOSPITAL! REVENGE! DOCTOR WHO! SCANDAL! The TV Addict Week in Rewind
Least Newsy News: MTV has slated the series SCREAM — based on the hit movie franchise — for a summer 2014 debut… despite having no writer or concept in place.
Second Least Newsy News: Hot on the heels of DUCK DYNASTY’s season finale bringing in nearly 10 million viewers, A&E announced production of season 4 would begin shortly. Like, yesterday.
Smartest Move: GENERAL HOSPITAL gave newly-recast Lulu amnesia, thus allowing them to see who portrayer Emme Rylan has chemistry with rather than allowing viewers to assume that her alter ego will remain with Dominic Zamprogna’s Dante. The twist has given not only both actors but also Drew Cheetwood — as Lulu-besotted hunk Milo — great material to work with.
Best News: ABC finally wised up and ousted REVENGE showrunner Mike Kelley. Here’s hoping The Initiative gets the boot next.
Most Bad-Ass Exit: Daenerys Targaryen’s unleashing of both her newly-acquired minions and her dragon upon the ruler of Astapor had GAME OF THRONES fans reaching for the remote so they could watch the epic destruction again and again.
Best Reveal: SCANDAL’s Huck has a family who may or may not be alive out there somewhere!
Tackiest Exit: Perpetual sourpuss Dan left HELL’S KITCHEN by offering up both physical and verbal obscenities. Stay classy, dude. Stay classy! [Read more…]
